Ekala
So everything been's fine and dandy in my newest playthrough of Origins, freshly modded. Until Alistair started being able to equip DLC/mod armor. Everything is invisible on him. It's got to be mod conflicts, but I don't know with what - everything works fine on my Warden, and I don't think there's anything that applies to Alistair only. Swords/shields still show up, and regular armor works fine, but DLC armor just... Suggestions? Ideas? Things to try? I really want to fix this - the Grey Warden Runic Armor looks amazing... and I don't really want to run around in the Juggernaut set again. Thandal
Q: Do you use NV4? If yes, go somewhere OTHER than "Camp". Have your character(s) strip. Then re-equip some vanilla game armour/robes. If that works, replace the vanilla gear with the stuff that turned invisible and see if all is correct now. There are some significant issues with non-standard gear coupled with mods that affect the body models. The most common unacceptable results are either: "everything goes black", or "everything disappears". In my experience, going to any location away from Camp and swapping into the standard game items first has cleared the problems once they arose. "Why leave Camp?" you ask. Camp is a special location, (in fact there are three different "Camps") where the game behaves, and things are displayed, differently than elsewhere. I never try to troubleshoot things in Camp.

I never try to troubleshoot things in Camp. I've tried this (a multitude of times, really) - mostly because I refuse to walk around with an invisible companion. Well, more specifically, a floating sword and shield. So for the moment he's got all vanilla equipment on and every once in a while I try again just to see if the issue resolved itself. Could uninstalling NV4 help? I don't want to get rid of NBAIO but I don't care too much about NV4...
Thandal
Ah ha! So you do use NV4! Just as I suspected. (I had a similar situation with Leliana's True SA Armour.) So, let's get you fixed... Since you don't care so much about the unique body models for each NPC, then yes, uninstalling NV4 is the simplest solution. Just remember that you have to use the PoT, and "Go back to the way things were before" for each character you ever changed, or you will not be able to load any saves made with characters having the modified body models after you complete the uninstall. If, on the other hand, you want to keep the indvidual looks, then it can be done. It's been a while since I went through this, but as I recall, it involved taking the Party to somewhere other than Camp, and stripping them down, doing the PoT double-shot, ("back", then back) and putting on the mod armour at the right time (I think it was while each character had their vanilla look, before using the PoT again to take on a more personal style!) I had to go through this dance twice, since you can't take all the companions with you at once.
Ekala
Ha ha! That did work indeed! The uninstalling bit, that is. If I'm feeling particularly adventurous later I might go back and try redoing the body mods but I am perfectly happy with just having everyone in the correct armor, for the moment. Thanks a bunch!
