ABillOnFire Posted October 3, 2011 Share Posted October 3, 2011 Hi, I tried downloading the Wasteland Defense mod earlier ( http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38049 ) but I seem to be having problems using it, I managed to make it so the quest is available and when I go to start it by placing the water tanker down instead of a water tanker there is just a error symbol spawning that I can place and all the other things that I try and spawn e.g barracks are the same. How do I fix this? Do I just need to put the esp file in the data files and that's it? cus that's what I tried, do I need to do things with the other files as well? e.g mesher files that come with it? also I think I did the nvse loader thing right but if you can briefly explain how to properly use it that will be appreciated just incase I didn't do it right. Go back to nexus page where you downloaded it and look in the description if there's any incompatibilities and if you have them. If not, then try reading more of the description. As for Meshes, there shouldn't be any, considering the meshes are already in the game by default, so I believe it should just be a .esp file. For the NVSE, all you do is put the files from the LATEST NVSE into your fallout new vegas folder, (NOT YOUR DATA FOLDER!!!). If that still does not work, then I'm not sure what's going on and there's something weird going on with your game lol. Min1ons Posted October 5, 2011 Share Posted October 5, 2011 (edited) if its a "!" then yes, ive had this problem with many mods, its a meshes/textures problem.The most i can tell you is that you have to make sure all meshes and textures are in the correct spot and you didnt leave any behind. Sorry but thats all i can say, good luck :thumbsup: P.S launch NVSE by going to your "Fallout New Vegas" folder and double click NVSE, then it should launch the game.If you have any more questions send me a PM. saintjimmyz Posted October 6, 2011 Share Posted October 6, 2011 With Wasteland Defense, if you get a mesh/texture error then 9 times out of 10 its because you arent using NVSE/arent using NVSE properly.
