Jeannie May Crawford's House Becoms Avaliable

After the quest for Boone to make him your companion, and you chose to have Jeannie May Crawford killed because, well, it was her fault that his wife is dead, would'nt it make sense that you can claim her house after she is dead. There wouldn't bee too many people who actually walk through novac and rent a room, so it only makes sense for you to be able to claim it once she is gone. But you cant.

This really frustrated me because if you are playing as a survivor RPG save and you are a fairly high level but still havn't gotten into the strip, or just prefer the Novac room for its true wasteland gritty feel then you know how crowded it gets when you have two or three other human companions and two extra non-human ones all living in the one area. Because of this, (and the fact that I have Willow as a 'personal' companion) it is really annoying and, well it simply doesn't make sense, (four people and one bed, and maybe a mattress).

I always thought it would be nice to rent out onother one of the apartments for two other companions and a non-human one (Veronica, Rose of Sharon Cassidy, and Ed-E/Rex) then have Willow, J.T and me in the main apartment, and finaly have Boone in his apartment.) Though this would probibly end up costing too much money and be too hard to script into the game.

So I though, as I was walking around Novac at level 25, still not even gone into the Strip, only about 25% through the game (This is my long save), with Willow, Veroncia and Ed-E following me, and Rose of Sharon Cassidy, Boone and J.T waiting in there normal places (from where you find them, [exept for J.T who was waiting outside the apartment]), and I was really dehidrated. So, being too lasy to go back to the apartment I decide just to stop into the first house I see to get a drink. I go in and its nice, spacious.... and empty. It was Jeannie May Crawfords house, empty, with a double bed, floor space for a mattress, living area, a bathroom and a fricking kitchen, better than the apartment I was living in, and I think, why can't my companions live her at nights when they are staying with me! Argh!

So thats where the idea came from, and since I don't know the scripting to make it belong to the player after the quest is finished and she was the one chosen I have desided to see if anyone else would like to make it happen.

 

If someone want's too, here are my ideas:

 

.Once the quest is complete a note could appear on the door of the apartment (the players). Onece the player picks it up the note could say how Cliff Broscoe forgot to tell you that since Jeannie May is dead, and nobody would really want a dead woman house, the player can have it, aslong as he/ she is willing to leave if someone comes and wants to rent it out (which will never happen).

 

I am fairly good at location (exterior and interior) design so I would like to change the interior too be of a higher standard (not cleaner, but more wastelandish, and ruggid). Due to this you would release the mod (if you want) and I will be the second author.

 

And thats it, simple really. Oh, and sorry for all the text, I guess I get carriued away sometimes!
