Modding in Skyrim

With Skyrim coming out, I'm actually planning on beating the game at least twice before doing any mods.

 

But from what I've seen from screenshots and various gameplay trailers, I think there are quite a few tweaks I could make...

 

1. Larger Horses

I noticed that the horses seem a little small compared to the 'Hero' we use. The uneveness seems a little annoying.

2. Alternate Dragon Shouts

Thought it would be interesting to see what I could do with the Shout concept

3. Dragon Form

I wanna try and make it so you can become a dragon. The idea makes me want dance, sing, and make a complete fool of myself.

4. Dragon Summon

An alternate to the current Akatosh Mounts Mod for Oblivion, but it's more like a pet system instead of mount system

5. Dragon Armor

A set of Armor with the meshes and texture of the dragon scales for a bit of immersion. After all, if you slayed a dragon, wouldn't you want an awesome set of armor made from its scales?

6. Dragonlings and Drakes

Younger versions of dragons. Dragonlings are hatchlings without hard scales unable to breathe fire and drakes are young dragons not able to fly, but have partial scales and limited fire breath.

If you do end up creating some mods for Skyrim, a lot of these mods could be mixed into my idea, The Forces of Takarn.

 

• Larger Horses would be irrelevent, doable no matter what lore story.
• Alternate Dragon Shouts; Extremely doable due to the lore behind my idea.
• Dragon Form; I would LOVE having this work with my idea/mod.
• Dragon Summon; Same as dragon form.
• Dragon Armor; Not relevant to my idea, but I love it.
• Same with dragonlings.

I'm seeking a team of modders to create a large set of mods, that would be separate projects, but work together in the same "Storyline" lore, being the God and his followers; Takarn and the Forces of Takarn.

 

I truly believe my idea would be amazing. It would allow multiple authors/modders to work together putting their ideas and hard work into an overlying storyline that works and matches with the lore of The Elder Scrolls.

 

If you aren't interested please let me know, I don't want to appear obnoxious, simply trying to share my ideas!

Just read that you can actaully make weapons and armor out of the dragons you slay.

Cool, that simplifies things...

 

Still gonna make my own through modding though. Creating your own dragon armor seems like a cool thing to do without the inherent restictions the developers put in the 'vanilla' version.

 

I might make my armor give special abilities to the wearer though...

I think there will be mods of all kinds, but the ones with the most downloads and votes for File of the Month will undoubtedly be the porn mods for awhile.

 

Then, once people settle down a bit, hopefully some of the other mods will receive the attention they deserve. Well, we can hope.

Personally, I believe the first mods are gonna be an array of tweaks, graphic enhancements, retextures, and mod utilities.

 

The porn will pop up once a decent mod manager is created so all the perverts out there won't have to worry about messing up their game. Not that I'm against perverts; far from it. My girlfriend is a major one and I enjoy every minute of it. Funnily enough, she's the one that got me into video games, especially the RPGs and RTSs...
