kruddpm
Ive had my toshiba satellite pro since july now (windows 7 service pack 1, Intel i3, ati moblity radeon) and have just decided to install my fallout 3 goty edition. I havent installed any mods except for the script extender and updated the game to 1.7. But the problem is that whenever I start a new game, the game completely freezes and locks up just at the part where your father leaves the room when you are one year old.I tried getting a quickstart mod where you start your game at the start of escape and I started playing that but after about the same amount of time the game froze again. iFSS
In the main menu, go to Settings -> Controls -> Action mappings, and click the 'Default' button at the bottom right. The game CTD's during the tutorial messages if you remap the keys, so make sure they are at the default before starting (even if they appear to be at the default). iFSS
Did you add the multicore fix to your fallout.ini? In the [General] section, change bUseThreadedAI to 1, and add:iNumHWThreads=
