NahBdi
Very new to modding any game, and only by 2 days with NV...so bear with me if I am missing something very important or obvious. PC: 2500k @ 4.5GHz ( can go a little higher if needed ) Crossfire 6970s @ 920/1400 8GB of 1600MHz Ram CL7 P67 Pro AX850 PSU On a RAID 0 or four 7200rpm HDDs. Problem : Crossfire doesn't seem to make a difference ( I will check later if second card is working at all ) and my fps are down into the teens. I have added a few mods such as : Nevada Skies & FNVEnhancedShaders & Depth of view ( + more perks, weapon mod expansion and MAD BUT my performance is the same with those on and off) Does this sound right? Am I overloading the pc by a few texture/environment mods?
n0t0ryczny
As far as I'm concerned, Crossfire and SLI would probably just use more electricity than one GPU. No performance boost. Maybe it will make you lose 15% FPS. Mind that the whole Gamebryo engine is just Morrowind/Oblivion on steroids, and was written,,, some years ago. Fallout does not put a pressure on your graphics card, just on CPU (script execution and when there are a lots of creatures around) and on HDD (read time, transfer rate). So just make sure that your HDD is defragmented. And get the NV Configator from nexus, set your preload size to 150mb.
Quetzlsacatanango
Any mod that adds lot of NPCs is going to kill your system unfortunately. I think MAD even warns of this in the description.
