Xenobuzz
Well, I tried unsuccessfully to install an older Nvidia driver (258.96), but it was for XP and would not complete. I tried a later one (280.96) and that also failed and corrupted my current drivers! Then, after rebooting I got the following error message on startup: C;\Windows\system32\nvvsvc.exe I Googled that and discovered that this likely means that my video card is actually dying. Unfortunately, my local support shop is closed for Columbus Day, but hopefully they'll have something secondhand when I swing by on Friday. Dave S.
