bben46
Downloading mods while downloading steam will slow the download of both as they have to share the same download pipe. Best: allow steam to complete it's download and Before installing any mods start the game - then make a save. this initialized some stuff that is needed by the game and it;'s best to do that with no mods. Then, I recomend actually playing the game a while before starting on mods. If you pile on mods, you won't know what those mods actually changed. Before installing many mods get and install OBSE and OBMM. OBSE has special install instructions for use with the Steam version. Wrye Bash and BOSS can wait until you need them. These are NOT mods, but utility programs that help with mods. If a mod says it requires OBSE, then it will not run without OBSE - No matter what you do. And may crash your game if you try. :whistling: Then to prevent major problems and save time in the long run, install ONE mod at a time and test. DO NOT install any more until you get that one to work or have completely removed it.This will allow you to build a stable load order as you go. I also recommend actually reading the read me for each mod before installing it - that can save a lot of time as not every mod installs the same way, and many mods REQUIRE something else to work.
