Well how would a 'curse work exactly?

It would function like the odd vaults you enter in FO3. Where you can turn on sound and people explode and other crazy things like that. Or there could be a labrynth cave... and you hear singing when you enter. All you hear is singing.... and you walk down pathways attempting to follow the voice, only to be led into traps and large amounts of enemies.

Or you can run into a witch in the wilderness. And you get cursed. This could be like your "spell" idea, but I was thinking it ought to knock you out. When you wake up later it changes your button layout for direction and swaps your attacks buttons... then it becomes this little quest to kill the witch and get cured.

Other ideas for it?

In dungeons:

you [enter the dungeon and while inside you] constantly hear things incorrectly.

you " see enemies in double

you " see a ghostly little girl that you 1, have to follow to find the witch, but leads you through traps and enemies

you " see blood everywhere, and all enemies appear to be extremely fast... and in some parts you encounter a creapy little girl who shows up and changes the environment by blinding you, and then everything is different, dead, grotesque... (ala FEAR and illusion spells)

you " hear a deafening sound and your fatigue is constantly drained

In wilderness:

Get [knocked out and wake up] paralyzed (ala Morrowind) and someone comes along and cures the curse.

Get " turned silent and invisible (no NPC interaction... fun at first, but then you cant do any quests). The witch, undead and Deadra CAN see you.

Get " blind but extremely fast (ala boots of blinding speed)

Get " with every disease {Rufied ;) }

Get " and creatures are invisible and there are hallucinations (point lookout DLC)

Get " and find that your skill points have been reallocated. Thing you are best at, swap with things you are worst at. This encourages variation in play style and makes a challenge for a warrior now turned mage w/o any tomes

"Your Quest markers randomise

"Crafting becomes damn near impossible as your ingrediants and components become all mislabeled

"Your minimap shows you have enemies in all directions

"Your Health/Fatigue/ and Magicka rating all become untrustable.

---------------------------------

*Cure disease potions should bethe 'Pennisilian of cure disease

(it works O.K. with most diseases but does not specialise in curing you in any partucullar disease or more progressed or deadlier diseases)

-For most diseases, you need a potion which specialises in that disease

*Cure Rockjoint/Brainworm & Phorphyric Hemphilia.

*Cure Brainrot etc.

-

There should also be unconventional forms of cures.

Such as raising body temperature, Swimming, Eating certain cooked foods, Aquiring a different disease. or just simply Resting it off.

I like the resting it off idea. And eating cooked meals can cure specific diseases... but the potion ought to be the cure all, but make the ingredients harder to find.

Also on the curses aspect... you have a dungeon that steals your voice... you cant cast, you cant shout. inside are all ghosts or something else requiring magic equipment... and it is extremely well lit. :S

*Daggers should be the hardest weapon to be seen when unsheathed.

(Npcs wont lose disposition when in convesation/Guards wont be suspicious and follow you)

But being caught with a dagger unsheathed and people should go crazy <suspicion of murder>

-

*Poison should be visible on weapons when applied.

*Being searched by guards with a poison in your inventory should Increase your bounty and they should remove the poison Indefinately.

-

If spotted by someone while in sneak mode dont always code them to stop & confront us,

Instead have them speed up and possibly run.<Suspicion>

-

If spotted while in sneakmode have the person check theyre inventory for missing itemsand confront you, or approach the guards if they find something mising.

-

Npcs in sneak mode should be Minimally transparent to the player. Or just extremely out of focus.

-

*Idle Npc Animations

-Whisting

-Smoking(pipe)

-Kindling the fire

-Dosing off <sneak applicable>

-'playing' with there spells

-Sharpening there blades

-Shooting & Retrieving arrows

-

*Upon entering invisibility (after being spotted) code dialogue for 'Intelligent Npcs' to recognis that you Cast Invisibility.<A warning that they will now activelysearch for you or run to block exits./Cast Detect life>

-

*Capes(comeone Fans have been begging for them since Morrowind)<Even the Concept art of The Septim Statue (slaying the snake) had him wearing a cape>

-

*(Odai, youv Played Bad company 2 correct? How about certain Spells which cause a Blind spot in your screen. only allowing you to see From the edges of your view. <The tracer darts on your face in BC2>)

-

(The Scene in the Demo Prt2 with the arrow stealth kills in the entrance to Bleak falls.)

*When the survivor recognises he is under ranged attack code him the possibility to enter stealth mode and actively search or flee. Making him a smaller target. And also bringing him out of focus.

Have dynamic wind...depending on the severness of the wind things may be blown away...they already have the physics for items moving from a shout or spell all they have to do is decrease or increase the severity of the wind....so a flag, cloth, shirt, other light flutter will move in the wind

-Push you off mountain sides?

-alter arrow/spell courses?

Already have those favors on the list... except the blow you off a mountain... which I dont really want... I mean if you are in some heavy plate, you arent going anywhere.
