bluemero
So essentially when i go outside things will buffer, then everything will turn really foggy and blue and then Oblivion will crash. My first thought was that maybe it was OBGE, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I use Wrye Bash, not sure if that will be important. And perhaps more important, although i don't think it's related, my installation of FCOM is massively messed up (I think) Load Order: Oblivion.esmCybiades.esmWindfall.esmJog_X_Mod.esmAll Natural Base.esmFrancesco's Leveled Creatures-Items Mod.esmFrancesco's Optional New Items Add-On.esmFrancesco's Optional New Creatures Add-On.esmOscuro's_Oblivion_Overhaul.esmMart's Monster Mod.esmMart's Monster Mod for OOO.esmTamrielTravellers.esmFCOM_Convergence.esmArmamentarium.esmArtifacts.esmRealisticLeveling.esmUnofficial Oblivion Patch.espUOP Vampire Aging & Face Fix.espOblivion Citadel Door Fix.espFrancesco's Optional Chance of Stronger Bosses.espFrancesco's Optional Chance of Stronger Enemies.espFCOM_Francescos.espFCOM_FrancescosItemsAddOn.espFCOM_FrancescosNamedBosses.espNatural_Habitat_by_Max_Tael.espAll Natural.espAll Natural - MMM Patch.espOBGE - Liquid Water.espBetter Bell Sounds.espSymphony of Violence.espAtmospheric Oblivion.espDiverse Voices.espSounds of Cyrodiil.espAll Natural - Real Lights.espdiversegrasses.espImprovedSigns.espQQuix - Rock, rock, rock your ship - V3.espRAEVWD Cities.espRAEVWD Imperial City.espSPARTAN VIs Diverse City Guards v1 2.espLiving Economy.espLiving Economy - Items.espCutthroat Merchants.espCrowded Cities 15.espCrowded Roads Advanced.espPopulated Prisons.espGet Wet.espGet Wet Dark.espOblivion Graphics Extender Support.espOBGEv3 Controller.espDynamic Map.espAdonnays Elven Weaponry.espAdonnays Elven Weaponry for NPCs.espScoundrels Luck Armor.espSentientWeapon.espDude Wheres My Horse.espBob's Armory Oblivion.espCheat Bob's Armory Oblivion.espFCOM_BobsArmory.espLoth's Blunt Weapons.espLoth's Blunt Weapons- Mobs.espLoth's Blunt Weapons for Npcs.espOblivion WarCry EV.espFCOM_WarCry.espOscuro's_Oblivion_Overhaul.espArmamentariumArtifacts.espMart's Monster Mod - Additional Enemy NPC Vars.espFCOM_Convergence.espFCOM_RealSwords.espMart's Monster Mod - Durability & Damage.espMart's Monster Mod - Zombies for Body Meshes.espMart's Monster Mod - Vindasel.espMart's Monster Mod - Foxes.espMart's Monster Mod - Dungeons of MMM.espMart's Monster Mod - Gems & Gem Dust.espMart's Monster Mod - Hunting & Crafting.espMart's Monster Mod.espTamrielTravellers.espMart's Monster Mod - Diverse Imperial Armor.espTrade and Commerce.espArtifacts.espArtifacts - ArmaCompleteAddon.espBHC_Expanded.espThe Imperial Water.espMalevolent.espGTAesgaard.espthievery.espWindfall.espCybiades.espTOTF.espRTT.espMart's Monster Mod - City Defences.espElsweyrAnequina.espUnofficial Elsweyr Anequina Patch.espWest Roads.espNatural_Vegetation_by_Max_Tael.espANBBobbingMotion.espDungeon Actors Have Torches 1.6 DT.espExterior Actors Have Torches 1.3 DT.esp2nd to 1st person.espReneerRainMod.espQuest Award Leveling.espUpbringing.espNo psychic guards v1.2.espTRN One of the Gang.espWR OotG Addon.espEnhanced Grabbing.espNords With Beards.espbgBalancingEVCore.espBetter Redguard v2.espbgMagicEV.espbgMagicBonus.espbgMagicEVPaperChase.espbgMagicAlchemy.espbgMagicPotionNumberSoulGemValue.espbgMagicLightningbolt.espBashed Patch, 0.espSPTDiverseBandits.esp
MShoap13
Normally I'd suggest deactivating mods a few at a time until you narrow down the culprit, but in your case a full reinstall may be the fastest simplest solution. Be sure to install outside of the default \Program Files\ directory if your on Windows Vista or 7 to avoid issues with Windows UAC (Somewhere like C:\Games\ is fine). Bben's guide is a very thorough reinstall procedure. Once you get vanilla Oblivion installed, go ahead and install any tools (Wrye Bash, OBMM, etc.) and I personally would install OBSE as well. Then, before adding any mods, go in-game and make a new character. Play through the tutorial dungeon right up until the sewer grate that allows you to modify your character (the exit). Make a save before exiting the sewers and keep it around for testing purposes (plus you never have to play through the start again if you don't want to). From here you can start adding mods. Go slow and add a few small mods or one overhaul at a time. Then, test the mod(s) and make sure they're working properly and not causing any issues. That way when something goes wrong (and it will) you know where to start troubleshooting. Edited October 9, 2011 by MShoap13
bluemero
So basically i turned off like half of my mods and now the crashing is gone, now to begin working on figuring out what caused it.
