I removed them all from my posts to take away from the repetitiveness. If you ever want another, just PM me anytime. Or, I also registered at your forum, so you can PM me there. And the sig was no problem, so don't worry about it. ;)

Oh you didn't have to remove them...

I just noticed it while opening the page... No prob.

Thanks a lot for helping :)

OK, I played through it, and here is what I thought. I'll try to avoid spoilers, but a few might slip in, so if you haven't played this (although if you have any sense you should have), you might not want to read any further. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! So, without further ado, here goes:

I'm not normally a huge fan of quests like this, they tend to get a bit dull after a while- I prefer quests with plenty of conversations and interaction with NPCs. Despite this, however, I can honestly say that this is the best quest mod I've played in a long time. The level design in particular struck me- I like to consider myself a bit of an expert when it comes to making good dungeons, and if someone asked me for an example of what makes a good dungeon, I would instantly point them to GTA. The way a variety of tilesets have been used, and blended together so perfectly, is amazing. The lighting is amongst the best I've seen, and I wholeheartedly agree with the readme's warning not to use nighteye effects- this mod is worth playing for the lighting alone. Next we come to the enemies, and this is where two of GTA's biggest problems (though one of them arguably isn't a problem) come in. I strongly suggest that a warning is added to the readme saying that this mod is for high-level characters only. If I'd known the enemies would be so tough, I'd have downloaded a higher level character to test it with, instead of using my current level 2 character (who is now level 4, and an expert in light armor, after playing this mod). I was forced to enable god mode just to get past the first room. That problem aside, the enemies in GTA are well made (they're mostly custom creatures), and extremely nicely implemented. The spiders in particular look unbelievably ugly (in a good way). It is the spiders, however, that cause the biggest problem- every time one came near me, my frame rate dropped to nearly unplayable speeds. I'm talking 3 or 4 frames per second here. I'm not sure what it was, but it really spoiled the mod for me. Fortunately, there were plenty of other new enemies to keep me happy- abyss dragons, cursed knights, abyss gods (who seemed to be invincible- or capable of surviving a hundred or so silver arrows to the chest, at any rate), and more.

Now we come to the next problem: the abyss. A seemingly endless wasteland of nothingness, crawling with enemies (such as the aforementioned abyss gods), and filled with a thick red fog that makes it hard to see much further than the tip of your nose. While I agree that it does feel exactly like you'd expect the abyss to, it doesn't necessarily make for brilliant gameplay- after almost an hour stumbling round and round in circles trying to find where I was supposed to go next, I began to get a little bored of it, something that shouldn't happen. But these are all minor problems, and if it weren't for the fact I'm forced to run Oblivion on fairly low graphics, this mod could quite possibly have scared the sh*t out of me several times. I still jumped occasionally- putting down a book you've just been reading about a king's executioner, only to turn around and find a hooded axeman standing behind you is pretty scary, and a fine example of the many brilliant setpieces that occur in this mod. Speaking of books, those who take the time to read them will be very impressed. Not only do they help explain the story, but the quality of writing is excellent- if the author has written any other books, I'd be very eager to read them.

Right, I've just noticed how much I've written, so I'm going to wrap it up now:

Graphics (level design, new models/textures, etc):

9.6

Story:

9.3

Gameplay

9.1

Total Score:

9.5

I got a little carried away there, but at least I was thorough ;)

Wow!!! First of all... Thanks a lot about your rating and this really good review....

As for the difficulty I'm going to reduce it using the 1.1 patch wich is going to fix a few minor issues and change a few things based on what players are asking...

.......

Thanks again :)

Edit:

By the way if it'isn't much trouble please hide

that part about the book trick and the axeman

. LoL

It was my pleasure :)

By the way, do you have any idea what could be causing the slowdown with the spiders? The only things I could think of were too many polys, or some script they might have attached to them (though I've no idea what it could be doing).

Well I haven't noticed anything like that in my game...

It could happen though in places where non static fog and more than 4 npcs/creatures exists.

(something similar to the engine overload issue noticed with mmm for example)

i finally finished it!! ooh man.. took me ages.. i was a level 6, i really had no idea what i was up against. but by god it was awesome!! sheer brilliants, haha i wanna talk about it but i dont wanna give anything away. i would give a review, But The_terminator beat me to it.

the mod was fantastic, it rocked. the only thing that got to me was the vast nothingness.. the environment was great, but i got lost a lot of the time and got a little bit bored considering that there wasn't really anything to look at. There were a few parts that looked really cool and reminded me of Alice.

and again, i know you probrobly dont wanna hear the same thing twice, but it was really hard. haha like my Lv6 got totally bummed by everything, i ran away most of the time. personally id rather quantity than quality, what i mean by that is id rather slash through army's of zombies and cursed than to just keep bumping into the odd one or two every known and then. there was however a lot of zombies in some of the indoor areas, but not the outside :(

ooh great, i pretty much gave a review didn't i? whoops.. haha i did say i wanted to talk about it. but anyway,

Horror is What You Aimed For, And you Pulled It off Great.

the enemy's were total bad asses,

the quest rocked,

it made me jump a few times

and

The little Movie cut scenes were awesome

So i give you my man A 9.5 OUTTA 10!!! :D

Well, it's nothing to do with engine overload, or anything like that- all the other new creatures were fine. It's very mysterious, and did spoil the experience slightly, but there you go, this is Oblivion- some people are always going to get weird errors when others don't.

"Untitled: I agree. Apart from the spider issue, the only other really major issue was the empty space- if it was just a bit (OK, a lot) smaller, or had a path for you to follow, then it would have been perfect, but as it is, it's just too big.

Also, ThePriest909:

Were the abyss gods supposed to be invincible? Because I wasted a lot of arrows on them

btw, I put the review in spoiler tags ;)

EDIT: OK, spoiler tags don't work too well for large blocks of text, so I got rid of them, and just made the warning more noticeable.

Okay ... Spiders checked twice... No issues at all here... thry work fine. My oblivion is clean of any other unoficial plugin.

As for the Abyss Gods

they use scripts similar to those dagon uses at main quest. They can't die and that's why they are gods after all.... They can't track you easilly though and it is very easy to sneak away

By the way terminator there's a path in the abyss

wich is leading all the way to the right point. even if I used the arrow to send you away of it
