hector530
Oblivion was small compared to Morrowind, which was small compared to Arena... of course there wasn't much content between towns in that game. lol Never fear, there will be plenty of space to roam and plenty of things to do whilst roaming about as well. morrowind wasnt that much bigger, fast travel makes you think it is. At first i thought they were locations for the cities but then i noticed many of them were no where near a city. Maybe dragon walls? or camps of some importance? Jakeschulz
possibly small outposts.. or bandit camps. small areas of interest? i would place a bet on small outposts.
Odai
1st... Morrowind (without DLC) was only 8 sq miles. It seems bigger because of initial running speed, lack of fast travel and labyrinthine terrain. Oblivion was 16 sq miles of flat straight linesSkyrim will be mountain (morrowind) and 16 sq miles. 2nd. Morrowind had the x's on the map too and some had treasure chests, or shipwrecks, or rare items, or fun dungeons, or shrine locations... in the end, they are points of interest if we assume it is like Morrowind
