If you are still owning a motherboard for s775 (would be nice to know which one) and it is upgradeable to a quad core of the 9xxx family you can try to find one at ebay, buying a new one from a store would make no sense for me, but its your choice, oc. Buying a new one you would need a new motherboard (maybe a 1155) a new cpu (i5) and new ddr3 memory (if your s775 isn't using it). A q9550 is around 200$ at ebay, a new i5 is around 200$ too, but you will need an 1155 mb, another 150$, ddr3 memory (4GB ~50$). Sarah Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
