The New Vegas Museum of Complete Human History

UPDATE 1: First things first, lets come up with the EXTERIOR building itself. What should It look like? Some sort of U.S. Monument style building or something? Remember it has to look pre-war and clean.

While in the nexus chat, I had an idea for some kind of Americanized history building possibly on the strip. I'd Like to see it using some cyborg or synthetic robot men whom are programmed to believe they are former presidents or something and each have roles. (like Lincoln could give a speech) and some of them could be recruitable companions.

it could possibly have a war room, where past battles can be relived.

not sure if I'd want the ability to WATCH them or to be IN them (Example: Anchorage from Fallout 3) like the battle of 1812, or the Civil war, cold war, World wars, and possibly made up wars. I'd love to see Abraham Lincoln play a big part, possibly Washington as well. I want the museum to be clean, as it is for the first time a restored building, and fully functional. It should also be able to retell history from post-war in a seperate wing. (which could be locked until the mod is done) The Post-War wing could go on Explaining the history of the Enclave, the Brotherhood, the Megaton Bomb, The Lone Wanderer, the Vault Dweller, and several quests from the fallout games. Possibly have Super Mutant displays, or something. It could be a really well done mod, I'd love to get a team to work on this with me, so who's up for the challenge? Let's bring humanity up from the grave of nuclear war and restore it to it's prime!

I bet you could use the models of the tranquility lane pods and maybe do some small simulations of battles, but that sounds pretty hard.

Only if those models are included in the NV files. If not we cant use them.

the pod models are indeed in the NV files as the Boomers use them for their flight simulators.

Alrighty then, that's perfect. We'd have to make our own Cells and create a lot of different models and possibly textures. If the Confederate hat is in the files we can use it

Also I had an idea for the post-war history section. There could be some cases displaying famous weapons from the fallout series.

.223/556 pistol, Lincoln's repeater, plasma defender, etc.

I dont think Lincoln's repeater should be displayed in the post-war section. I'd rather have either it placed in one of three places. The Pre-War section, a mannequin (If we use those) that looks like Lincoln, or an Abraham Lincoln robot that looks like him believes he is him and becomes a follower. As for the exterior, I'm not completley sure. I want it to be clean I know that. If it fits in the strip it would be cool, but it would also be cool for it to look like one of the DC buildings. Well I think a FO3 type building might be cool. Maybe it could be similar to the Vault 21 Casino and the museum could be within a vault. I guess it couldn't be on the strip then, considering it would be too close to Vault 21. Maybe there could be a Vault entrance near Goodsprings or something.
