JQuest01
hiive recently got in to modding and found it quite enjoyable though only modding items in the GECK. i recently downloaded a couple of mods (tailor maid/satchels) and it gave me an idea for some realy cool armors. upon some research i found a tutorial on how to creat armor mash-ups. unfortunately the mod does not tell me how/where to start. ive have been looking for a video tutorial on where to get the specific files to no avail. i would realy appreciate someone taking the time to help me with a step by step run through of what id need to do as i have so many idea and would like to contribute to the nexus community. i have both blender and nifscope installed as per the tutorials instruction and am eager to start creating lots of cool and interesting mods :) Thanks a whole bunch in advance
HSovieticus
Download FO3 Archive or whatever the NV equivalent is, then use this program to extract the bsa files. I've been told you can also use FOMM to extract BSAs, but I've never done that.

JQuest01
Thank for the the advice. the link is actualy the tutorial i stated before but im not sure how to start. it states import the body i want to use but im confused as to how and where from. ive got blender and ive tried importing looking though all the folders for the standard body used in nv but i cant find it anywhere. if you know where this file is or how to import it than please let me know. thanks in advance
Quetzlsacatanango
If you are using a body replacer is it in meshes\characters\_male\upperbody.nif or upperbodyfemale.nif, as the case may be. If not it is inside fallout - meshes.bsa and you need to extract with FOMM or the tool of your choice.
JQuest01
thanksand does that extract to blender or nifscope? ive been trying to use nifscope to possibly start getting armor pieces ready but the whole armor always comes as one piece ie if i want a shoulder armor or a single boot i cant get it as the whole armor comes as one piece. i cant seem to seperate it. any ideas? Quetzlsacatanango
It extracts to where you extract it to...Then you import it into blender or open it with nifskope. Sometimes you can separate pieces in nifskope, sometimes not. If not, you need to open it in blender, tab to go into edit mode, and delete the parts you don't want.
