Cycrone
Hello, I've recently played the lonesome road and I just -love- the Riot Gear. Now, the plain 'Riot Gear' has these ugly green bracers and I wanted to retexture them with the textures I made. Now I was looking for someone who is handy with modding and could make me some .esp or whatever it is to enable these textures in-game. Anyone has some free time to help me out with this? Thanks. SariDecember
Do I get that right, you already made the texture in dds format and just want to get it ingame?
Shantih
There are two ways to do this. Either replace the original texture with the one you've edited or make a new item in the Geck that uses the new texture (a non replacer). Open the Geck, create a new esp (load Lonesome Road esm and then save as a new esp -type any name you want for this esp) Look for texture sets, create a new one. Use the texture you've edited for the first line and the "n" one in the original folder for the second line. Look in the armor section and find the armor you want to edit. Right click and select edit. Type a new name so you won't overwrite the existing armour. Open the model window and apply the new texture. Save. You'll have to create a new container and put it in the gameworld otherwise you may end up changing all the containers that refer to the same object ID (and you don't want that). Putting an item in a character's inventory is easy you just have to open and edit the inventory tab in one of the listed NPC. Dropping an item in the game world is probably the easy thing to do. Pick up a quiet interior cell (that's why Doc Mitchell's house is so popular for mods) and simply drag and drop the item (all you need to do is open the appropriate cell beforehand, use the mouse to zoom in and out, press c to change the camera angle and f to drop the item if it's stuck in the air). Bear in mind that NPCs may pick the item if you put it in an exterior cell and it's a weapon. It's all really simple when you figure it out. You can find some video tutorials on youtube: It's not as difficult as it looks.

Any help? Edited October 13, 2011 by Cycrone
Shantih
Are you running the Geck as administrator? Do you have some compatibility files in your data folder? Have you patched your game AND installed the latest version of the Geck?

Have you patched your game AND installed the latest version of the Geck? I was not running the GECK as administrator. This seems to have sloved the problem. Thanks a lot for the help.
