Posted October 18, 2011 Share Posted October 18, 2011 (edited) Not true, its the stuff in the background that is the key benifits to more core, the more cores equals better stability with games and your antivirus or have multiple programs running in the background while you play. Some games do take advantage of it, like fable 3 or Cryisis 2 takes advantage of it. Anything over 3.6ghz is ideal for that sort of thing, hey take a look i was actually doing a virus scan without me even knowing it, while i was Playing Fallout New Vegas, no joke. http://www.thenexusf...90#entry3699024 the Scanner only uses one the main core for the initial scan.
