Haakiri
First off guys, let me say that first and foremost, I have played TES since Oblivion emerged on the scene. Well, actually, I got into Morrowind just prior to IV being released, but that's another story. I have played Oblivion on the X360, but right now, I have it on my PS3. Now to flip the conversation, I was once of the mind that hearing speak of "Vanilla" Oblivion irritated me, and any thoughts of extensive modding to gather enjoyment out of this game was equally off-putting. Now, before you guys lynch me, let me just say that I spent a few moments browsing the Nexus database of mods, and well...it is going to sound corny, but I am a believer now. I found a copy of Oblivion on Steam that includes all the console DLC in one bundle, so I will purchase it quite soon. I have pre-ordered Skyrim for the PS3, but something tells me that I will be too busy with the PC version of Oblivion and playing with these new mods to spend much time with Skyrim. Heresy I know, but...it's true. Anyway, onto the name, as many of you are no doubt not even wondering where it came from. For those that care just a little less then others, the name Haaki came from a name generator from the UESP Wiki, and I just tweaked it for Haakiri for a unique spin on one of my favored races, the Nord. (Bosmer is my top pick, as I rather like being primed for a stealth assassin/thief combo.) Edited October 15, 2011 by Haakiri

Many mods are much better, (And FREE) Wait until you are sneaking through a cave and your companion asks "Do you think this armor makes me look fat?" (Vilja) Or you find a strange colorful skull that has mystical powers similar to, but different than Sigil Stones. (RuneSkulls) Or Are asked to help rebuild Kvatch. (Kvatch Rebuilt) How about a real castle more than 3 times bigger than the DLC Battlehorn (Glenvar) with guards wearing your livery and walking the walls that change shifts on a regular schedule and call you master? There is even a completely new game made using the mod construction set. (Nehrim)Lots of these and more!

There will be mods for the PC version of Skyrim also.
Haakiri
Thanks for the welcome. I'm actually pretty impressed at the level of detail that a lot of these mods go into. I'm actually one of probably two people that has yet to touch the Vile Lair, or Mehrunes Razor at all, and since the Dark Brotherhood has nothing to do for the great Listener but get a list of names (which seems to only be one person...that's a mean list, guys...) So I will finally get to have my Vile Lair as the home to my Listener, and my Nord lives in Battlethorn. But hearing about this mod of a larger castle, I have to ask what is possibly a stupid question. Which do you prefer? Battlethorn Castle or Glenvar? I've read up up Battlethorn and it seems fairly interesting, but I'm likely to just complete it for the sake of it. As for mods that I know for sure that I will get, what I am looking for are two things after I get my hands on Oblivion on PC and finish the added DLC. From what bben46 mentioned, I might add Glenvar to the download section and hold off on adding it. As for rebuilding Kvatch, that is one thing that I have silently wished for. It was pretty cool to have a ruined city from the Oblivion crisis, but I was actually hoping for people to eventually do something and try retaking it after it was over. Wooden battlements are still placed, tents still up, and people still talking about how they lost everything. So the idea of retaking it and working on seeing how it could be is intriguing. To be honest though, it's a stretch, but how cool would it have been for Kvatch to not have been attacked just yet to let you see how it was beforehand. Maybe get to know some people, then you feel important to the MQ, and not just Martin and Jauffre's little errand boy/girl. Thinking more about this, I should look into learning how to mod, and see if it's possible to make a series of quests for a certain location. bben46
Most mods are not mutually exclusive. And most modders go to great pains to NOT cause any problems with the DLCs. You can have Battlehorn AND Glenvar.
Haakiri
I have a really awkward system in place where I generally keep only one home at a time, usually chosen by the primary guild/faction that I'm shooting for. Like my Listener/Grey Fox (Really interesting combo there, right?) I have the house on the Waterfront with the cabinet just to the left of the door as you enter devoted to holding nothing but stolen items. I get into the game a lot, really. Hopefully I'm not the only one that does things like this, however.
