Ogliss Posted May 28, 2016 Share Posted May 28, 2016 Hello All, I'm new to fallout 4 modding, and im trying to import a custom weapon mesh into the game, currently i am using some Very simple versions to see if i can actually get them to appear ingame. however dispite the fact that the mesh is visible and textured in both NifSkope and the CK, they are total invisible ingame. i followed this tutorial up untill he saved from nifskope and switched to FOEdit, i opened up the CK and made a copy of the Machete to use as the base (i used Machete nif files as the template from my sword parts) and created and linked up all the various filed needed for the weapon (at least i Think i got them all) when i view the weapon in the CKblade NIFHandle Nifit functions perfectly, just totally invisible ingame(no shadow of the mesh either), driving me nutty trying to figure it out, ive also tried firearms with the same result, incredibly frustrating.So, if anyone has any inkling of what might be the cause, i would be most appreciatie if it could be made known!Thank youOgliss Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Either your materials or textures aren't setup correctly or it could be when you exported your mesh out of 3dmax/blender ect you ticked vertex colors. If the material isn't setup to use vertex colors it'll just turn the mesh invisible. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ogliss Posted May 29, 2016 Author Share Posted May 29, 2016 seems the cause was i removed the [Archive]bInvalidateOlderFiles=1sResourceDataDirsFinal=from the customprefs ini file, becase it was causing CTD on startup, after cleaning out my game folder and reverifying local files a few times it seems to be working Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
