Rokon91
My game minimizes itself at random intervals because of something called the ActiveMovie widow. If I minimize the ActiveMovie window and reopen the game, the same thing happens again. If I close the ActiveMovie window, the game freezes. Could someone please tell me how to fix this? Sypron
Try to close "Active Movie whatever" before the game starts, if you can.
Vagrant0
It's not a glitch with oblivion, it is something related that program, or some settings within that program. I'm guessing that it's videocard related, so your best bet would be to look up the people responsible for that program and find out what answers they may have. WoogieMonster
You could also try downloading Powertoys for windows ( I don't know if I'm allowed to post a link). It has a setting that keeps other programs from "stealing focus" away from the main program, so the movie what-cha-ma-call-it will not be able to force the game to minimize. You should find it easily if you search on pcworld website. Good luck.

If you have an LCD monitor and you running a game at a resolution that is not the optimum for the LCD it might cause this effect. With most video cards if your running at less than the optimum you have 4 choices as to how to handle the video 2 involve using "windows" and 2 don't. Also this may seem dumb but look at your options menu when the games starts and see if there is a check in the "window" setting. Lawrence
TheTerminator2004
Does it happen when you're playing any other games? If so, then it's probably some program you have installed on your computer, and you should try closing it before you run Oblivion. You can probably find it by pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL, and going to the processes tab. Have a look through the list, and see if there's anything that might be related to it- if so, then end it, and see if that helps.
Rokon91
Hi again. Sorry about the (extremely) delayed post. I've been busy with school :-P. Anyway, I followed several of the suggestions given and have now run into the following problems: 1. I looked into the issue further and found out that the problem is caused by several programs trying to access ActiveMovie at the same time (Oblivion and whatever other program this may be). The source where I received this information suggested that I delete any programs that use ActiveMovie. I discovered that a program on my computer called MPEG also uses ActiveMovie, but I don't know if MPEG is needed by any other programs on my computer. 2. I also looked up the PowerToys program, but there are several different downloads on the site suggested to me that are all considered PowerToys and I am unsure which download has the settings I need to fix the problem with the Active Movie window. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated, and again, I apologize for the slow response.
