captainrouge
I downloaded a number of mods (all through NMM) and only ones that retexture ingame items are working, all other mods (ranging from OCDecorator to Weapon additions) are not working or even appearing ingame. A number of the mods that are not working now have worked in the past however. I have exhausted all fixes I could find online (such as running NNM as admin, working around the launcher etc), so i would greatly appreciate it if anyone with a little more knowledge could lend a helping hand, thanks. (And all the .ini files have already been set up to work with mods)
captainrouge
And as a slight update I began to add the asterisk (*) to the start of mods in the Plugins text but when i then go to tick off the plugins in NMM the asterisk vanishes from the file
YeOldeSensenmann
Yeah, that's how it works. With an asterisk, enabled. Without, disabled.
captainrouge
No, I mean i will put the asterisk in, then i will go to enable the plugins in NMM and the asterisk will vanish
YeOldeSensenmann
Ok, what version of NMM are you using? 0.61.23 is the latest. NMM is able to detect changes to the plugins.txt and use them almost immediately without requiring a restart or any input from the user. The plugins.txt file, on the other hand, will only show the changes done via NMM the next time you open it. The Windows text editor is simply not capable to update a text file changed by another application while it's still running. Notepad++, for example, can do that but it's a lot more powerful and vastly superior anyways. Do the following. Make sure NMM isn't running, just to be safe. Open the plugins.txt and add the asterisk to all plugins. Save and close. Now start NMM. If everything has worked as it should, all plugins should appear as enabled in NMM as well. Now disable a plugin of choice in NMM and open the plugins.txt file. The asterisk in front of that plugin should be gone. If that ain't helping another thing you could do is starting the game and enabling the mods from the ingame Mod option by clicking on Mod, logging into Bethesda.net and then clicking on loadorder and enabling what you need. That shouldn't be necessary at all but maybe it works for you and I seem to recall posts from people who had to do that at least once to get mods working as they should. Blackbeard1965
I am having this same issue, all texture replacements work but no esp files do. I am not using a manager, i have edited plugins.txt manually and made it read only. I only have 3 mods; regrowth, craftable cats, and working planters but nothing doing. Any suggestions? What about copying the esp files to the mod folder created by the newest patch?
