MadTod
I've made a new paint job for Power Armour and for the most part it looks awesome, however I have one issue with it and it refers to the Specular Texture I am using. I've used the Jaws specular texture for my armour because I like how it makes the exposed metal parts shine unlike the standard specular texture, however on the X-01 armour it has weathered parts that have a blue-ish colour that I don't like. Also the T-60 armour - despite which specular I use - has a lot of weather on the helmet and arms, it's like this for all standard textures too, I would also like to change this. Any help would be very much appreciated, thanks. P.S. I use G.I.M.P for 2D Imaging, I don't have Photoshop. EmissaryOfWind
To edit dds files, you'll need a plugin. This one is for Gimp, but if it doesn't work, you can download Photoshop CS2 for free, and use the Nvidia tools.
MadTod
I have the plugin for GIMP, I use GIMP, I don't know what to do with the Specular Textures (i.e. how to make some parts shiny and others show more of the textures and not look so weathered). EmissaryOfWind
Pick the color from an area that has the shine you want, paint over the part you don't like, and it should do the trick. I'm not entirely sure, though, I always make a grayscale specular map, generally from the diffuse, so I'm not too experienced with those fancy purpley ones.
