Children

I was wondering if anyone thought of putting kids in as a mod. I mean... I don't expect them to be customizable, or have unique clothing, or anything lame like that but in the world of the elder scrolls universe it just seems odd that there are no children anywhere. I find it disturbingly unrealistic. like THX 1138. anyone wanna take on this immense challenge? (a playable race? oooo...)

The reason there are no children in the ES worlds, is that they would be kill-able. If they are kill-able, then the rating of the game goes to R18+, because it is possible to murder children in it. Some people argue that you could make the invulnerable, but then it would no longer be realistic, thus defeating the purpose.

That said, there are children mods out there, but my search-fu is broken at the moment and all of them have, at best, a slight usage of them in the world.

 

So Mods can actually affect the Rating that the esrb gives a game? that's pretty insane hahaha. oh right, I guess the hot coffee thing kinda went out that way. Well I dunno... I mean... Invulnerable wouldn't be so bad, but your right it depends on who you are. I can't seem to find any of these mods... I want one. Where would I begin the search? please don't reply with google.

There is one that I just found, called Life. It's in german, but there are other versions that other people have made. I downloaded "MoDems City Life" but haven't tested it yet.

Hot Coffee, if I remember right, was content that was locked out, but shipped with the game. Somewhat similar to what happened with the topless mesh in Oblivion.

 

I think they may just slap a "Gameplay may change with use of 3rd-party content" label on it, similar to the online play one.

 

 

As far as the idea of invulnerable children goes, I've had it happen all too often that I was playing Fallout 2, came across a group of civilians trying to fend off one threat or another, and had them turn on me when a critical miss killed a kid.
