lucian_dragos
I am having a problem launching the game and google has failed me.. Lately the time from clicking the icon to getting to the main menu can run as long as 4 minutes, however once the menu loads the rest of the game (load times etc) runs normal no problems.. I have upgraded to windows 10 recently but the lag to the main menu was there before hand, just got worse.. I have attached my load order .. I deleted my old INI's files so all 3 are fresh... So I'm not sure where to start.. YeOldeSensenmann
That can happen when you have a lot of save files. Open your saves folder and delete all the saves you no longer need.

YeOldeSensenmann
Nothing in your loadorder triggers any alarms so while there is no guarantee that this isn't the problem it seems unlikely. I assume it's ordered with LOOT? Two things that come to mind. 1) What happens when you start the game with all mods disabled? Does it load faster? 2) Is NMM installed on the same drive as Fallout 4? If it's not and your NMM is set up to use Multi HD support with the Virtual Install folder being on a slower drive, that might be it because when NMM runs that way the game loads from your SSD but all mod files are loaded from the other drive. If that's not a SSD as well that takes a lot of time if you have a bunch of heavy texture replacers.
lucian_dragos
I think I found the problem... It looks as if just disabling mods is not longer enough... FO4 seem to load all of the loose data files whether they are call for by a plugin or not.. meaning you can't just toggle mods with loose file you must remove them completely... very annoying..For me I was using different Asterra's voice mods for each play though so each PC had there own sounding voice.. but that lead to many loose files and seems to have been the root of the problem Edited May 31, 2016 by lucian_dragos
