Launch Trouble with a few mods...

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

So I downloaded about 15 mods, only 9 are active, and they're mostly graphical mods, but also have "everywhere playable", "better creature loot", and "increased sign intensity", and a merger script for them. I played the game fine all day yesterday. I didn't change anything, but when I bbooted it up today through NMM, it gave me an error.

Error [content0]game\replacers\ciri.ws(325): Function 'GetCriticalHitChance' takes 5 parameter(s) which is inconsistent with base function (3).

Error [modnoautoswordsheath]game\player\playerwitcher.ws(6320): Function 'FinishQuen' takes 1 parameter(s) which is inconsistent with base function (2).
Warning [content0]engine\environment.ws(25): Global native function 'EnableDebugOverlayFilter' was not exported from C++ code.
Warning [content0]engine\environment.ws(27): Global native function 'EnableDebugPostProcess' was not exported from C++ code.
Warning [content0]engine\showflags.ws(9): Global native function 'DebugSetEShowFlag' was not exported from C++ code.

I last left off with Ciri's first questline. Any idea what happened?

So a new patch was set in place probally because of the blood and wine DLC release. I'm assuming your mods (like mine) are not going to work unless the author of those particular mods update them to today's version (V1.20)

Ah damn, didn't notice today's patch. That blows...is there a way to disable updates or use an older version? The update options for steam all force updates, which is dumb, especially for an offline singleplayer game.

EDIT: Also, will all mods work with the "check for updates" feature on NMM? Because a few of them have updates for this patch, wondering if I have to redownload them manually or just hit the check for updates button.

EDIT 2: Disabled all mods and same error still occurs. Is my game permanently corrupted? Patch seems to have messed it up, not even the mods' fault...

I would like to know how to revert too if possible. Im in the middle of replaying the game i wont even be playing blood and wine for a week. Could not care less about this patch. What a ballache this is, remove all my mods, the UI is stuck in the middle of the screen. Sigh.

Has anyone figured this one out yet? I'm having similar errors as OP

Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem using nmm, the script merger puts its own files in the steam witcher mods folder which don't get removed by disabling the mods, you have to go in and delete everything in the folder (steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\Mods) Did that and I stopped getting the error.
