New Critters Won't Attack

Need some hints here .. had the same problem in FNV/Skyrim and can't remember how fixed .. but in the 40K weapons mod adding in some new critters, got them into the game but they will not attack anyone. Got them to turn and face the attacker but that is it. For test using a straight radscorp that retext'd and then created the new race LChar and all the needed encounter stuff but they have become pacifists in the game. Using the rads normal attack and animations but just not getting anywhere so any hints would be welcome, would hate to think gotta remove new race/faction and just dump into existing one.

 

In game just placed one of the encounters and not the M marker for this ... didn't cause problems before in other games does it matter here?

Make sure all the following things are set in the actor records:

 

1) Has the DefaultMasterPackageList AI package

2) Has a faction that is an enemy of PlayerFaction

3) Aggression is set to "Aggressive" or "Very Aggressive"

4) Bravery is set to "Brave" or "Foolhardy"

Whether or not an NPC (animal or human) will attack depends on 3 things:

 

Their reaction to the player.

Their aggressiveness.

Their bravery.

 

So, for instance, you could have a homicidal brahmin who hates the player, but it still won't attack if its bravery is set to "cowardly". Or you could have an aggressive, foolhardy deathclaw, and it won't attack the player because it's allied with the player.

 

Check all those things I listed. The answer is in there. (And make sure you haven't done tcai in the console)

checked them all and the only one that didn't match was number 2 (still normally if shoot/attack a creature they will fight back these don't) ... so put player faction in and marked as an enemy .. have not tested yet 9wife wanted to go to lunch .. one must follow orders every now and then, yes one must). Will ck later once get out of a beantown house that won't let me out, guess time for a coc to escape.

 

definitely did not do tcai in the console .. more later.

Tested .. made enemies of the player, and all the other items mentioned were set and still wont attack or move. They circle in place to face you but will not move from initial placement spot or attack .. gotta be something new in set up for critters that i am missing. I'll try just placing one of the 40kscorps into the regular radscorp family and see what happens then .. if attack then there is another file I need to change and bring into the mix. thanx for input and if think of anything else let me know.

 

I even placed a new scorp in the area using the LVL encounter versus spedific and same behavior. If the part of the scorp faction works I can live with that as long as they attack even.

Did the test, made the 40Kscorp part of radscorp race and faction and it turned into a greyhound for movement and a rhino for attacking .... well it actually killed me before could get more then 6 rounds into it. So clear I am missing something new or basic in the game dealing with new races which means will make the adds part of existing races/factions until find it.
