Can't get my items into a shop!

I've combined 2 mods before and succesfully put them in Jensines Good as new shop (the Tyraelgear.esp)

Now I've finished my tyrael shield today and wanted to add that to the shop to! But, when I load both Tyraelgear.esp and Tyrael Shield.esp, they say that the vendorcontainer is conflicting or so.. So I drag th shield to the container, wich still contains the armor and sword and dagger, but it doesn't show up in the game!

So I was wondering if someone could do this for me!

I've added a zip file that contains the meshes and textures of all the armor pieces and weapons (along with the correct filepath of my oblivion game: D:/games/oblivion/..)

Also added an excel file with the details of each piece of equipment, in case you need to re-add them.

Hope it will work :)

If the chests are conflicting then they might be named the same thing. Easiest solution would be to open the Tyraelgear.esp and make your shield in that one by editing an existing shield and pointing it to your new meshes. Then drag it to the vendor chest and you're done.

Where you are going wrong is loading both esps in the CS ---- since they both add items to Rohssan (even though the chests are named differently this is seen as a conflict) -- (If you use both esps they will report a possible conflict but it is a false positive since both mods add to Rohssan but they are different unique chests with different items so will be fine together - the problem comes when combining them to a single mod by loading both (which is a bad idea anyway) --- What you need to do is open the CS with just your sword and armor esp selected as the actrive file and do not check the shield .esp (or merely open the shield.esp and make your changes to the shield and resave it separate) go to the armor list in the object list and create the shield (right click on any existing shield - change the id and name and stats to what you want - click on the sword model box and navigate to the shield - repeat for the world model and icon - click OK and yes to the create new item prompt - (You Now have the new shield added to the original mod --- find the chest that it adds to Rohssan's inventory and drag\drop the new shield item you made into the chest contents --- (You now have the shield added to the chest along with the other items and Rohssan will sell all of them !) -- Save the mod - activate the .esp and load the game and go get your shield from Rohssan

By adding both .esps when you launch you are creating a dependency on both of those .esps so will have to add both .esps to your game along with the third mod you are creating (if you are not loading one of the 2 as the Active file) -- which you do not want in this case -- since the shield is just one item it is much better to just add it to the original .esp by remaking it in the CS instead of using a separate mod ( Since you will in most cases never be downloading an update to the armor mod or can easily remake the shield again if you do !)

I could do this for you but it would be better for you to do it to get used to the process of adding an item so give it a try and repost if you run into any problems and we'll walk you through the steps in more detail !

A vendor sells anything that he or she owns that is in his or her shop. So I would advise people to never touch the vanilla Oblivion vender chest in a shop. That is a recipe for mod conflicts. Just add a new chest with your new items. There can be any number of chests in that cell added by different mods and they will not conflict, and won't even look like they seriously conflict in the conflict reports.

If you are having problems with opening multiple mods at once in the CS, only open two at a time. For example:

(1) Open "Armor Mod" and your "New Mod." Copy the armor into "New Mod." Save.

(2) Open different files in the CS. Open "Weapon Mod" and "New Mod." Copy the weapons into "New Mod." Save.

(3) Open only "New Mod" in the CS. You will have both the armor and weapons there where you want them.

File paths:

You can't be using file paths like "D:/games/oblivion/Data/Meshes/CoolArmor" in mods you upload. You must use the path like "Meshes/CoolArmor" otherwise the file will not work for most people and you will get lots of complaints. The first path will only work with people who have their computers set up exactly like yours. The second path is universal and will theoretically work on all computers that can use Oblivion.

The shield mod which I made for him does not touch the Vendor chest -- it adds a new chest that is set to the vendors ownership - but the problem he is having is that he is opening both the original armor mod and the new shield mod and trying to combine them that way which is also a mistake but of a different kind ! --- Seems he figured it out though as he released the shield as a separate mod already so hopefully it is fine ! ( I know the esp I provided for him only had the shield and it used a separate chest to add it to Rohssan for her to sell (though he changed the location so hopefully did not just add it to the existing vendor chest (but who knows :whistling: !)_
