Hello everyone! So i just got a new PC (I7-2600k, GTX580, Sounblaster Sound Card, 6gig ram) and I am really interested in getting Oblivion as best looking as possible. I found this guide here: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18247684 and I was wondering what everyone thought about it, IE is it the best up to date or not?

Additionally, I enjoying playing a more adult game, so I was wondering what all files I should look for that will give me the best and most compatible body and faces for males and females. Additionally I am wanting to change the NPC's faces in game to look better. any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

First get the vanilla game working. Do not patch yet. - Install Shivering Isles & test

Then be sure you are patched up. & Test

This is a good place for your first full backup of the data folder- Never overwrite this one.

Now install OBSE, OBMM, Wrye Bash & BOSS - Test. - if you don't need them right away, you will. Be sure to always start the game with OBSE from now on.

Install all unofficial patches & Test

Install any DLC you want and test. Install the unofficial patched for the DLCs. & test

Time for another permanent data backup.

Now, you can start installing mods, be sure to test after every 2 or 3 or spend whatever time you thought you would save trying to find the problem mods. This is when you will need BOSS & those other utility programs. Whenever you get a stable game going, make a backup of the data folder.

There is a reason why nearly every step has Test in it. I hope you never find what it is. :whistling:
