Hi everybody,

I am a new poster but been here a while. Anyways sorry if it has been asked or clarified already but I was wondering if there will be any problems with the steam version and running mods?

I ask because in the past there has been problems with steam version of games and mods getting along haha. TIA! :psyduck:

Skyrim is a steamworks game, so even if you buy disc, the only version of Skyrim is still the steam version(it's just that Steam will install it off the disc instead of downloading it.)

Simply put; yes.

I guess another way you could say this (since Skyrim uses steamworks);

The only way you can use mods is with steam.

Unless you're a pirate. :pirate:

there wasn't any problems with FONV so i don't see why it would be a problem with Skyrim.

the only stuff that was not easily modded in FONV is enabling more than 3gm ram to be used since that would require messing with the exe

And just as an aside. I am using the FNV executable mod that is named fnv4gb.exe which came from the

same site the FNV script extender comes from. Works fine with steam too and allows FNV to use more RAM.

So, yeah, don't worry mods will work.

Not saying there may not be some hiccups at the start. Expect those and be happy if none show up.

In FNV / steam case there were some birthing hiccups that first month that caused mod implementing some unneeded grief.
