Naramis42 Posted June 1, 2016 Share Posted June 1, 2016 Hi there, I am one of the unfortunate gamers who suffer from severe enough arachnophobia that facing the spiders in Witcher 3 is unbearable. I was able to play HoS properly with the "spiders no more" mod for it: http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1329 but unfortunately, the mod does not work in B&W. Whether this is because of patch 1.2 or because the spiders have different models in B&W, I don't know. Anyway, it would be great if anyone found the time to make a new mod that works in Blood and Wine so arachnophobes can enjoy the addon's content fully. :) Thank you in advance. -Naramis42 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ddavies10693 Posted June 1, 2016 Share Posted June 1, 2016 I've recommended this to someone else with the same issue. You can use the console (which is now updated) to instantly kill all visible enemies on screen, or make yourself invincible. Not sure if that will help you specifically, but might it make them less scary if they can't hurt you? I don't know personally, I guess it's up to you. This worked well enough for the last guy I talked to at least allow him to play the game, which is obviously preferable to just waiting. Of course I still hope someone could make a mod, since at this early point in the game I have no clue how many spiders are in it and how many of them are not avoidable because they are in the main quest line (I hope none). I'm also arachnophobe, but i've played more or less 20 hours on the DLC, and i only met spiders 2 times on very specific places. The first one is a very very dark and large cavern, which is called "la grotte des murmures" in french (should be "murmurs cavern" in english, or something like that), the second one is located on the south East corner of the map, next to an ancient Temple where you've to find the wolf grandmaster set schems. The only thing you have to know is that i haven't played the main quest, so i don't even know if there is some spiders, but i hope that could help you. warning: there's new bots which look like to spiders (the kikimores), but they do not since they mostly have the apperance of four-legged ants. Yes, it's a little spoiler, yes, it's in french, but i prefer to leave you the screenshot of my minimap with some indicators. All the locations, except the "?" are completely visited.
