Those of this race must be paired by the age of 11 or they lose the control of the madgus blood that is their lineage. Each pair is with out hope when separated. But the bond is strong and only death breaks it. The madgus in imbalance is not forgiving, it has no soal, it just is. The Madgigie must die as they live, together forever in life and in death. A rogue will not be permitted to live alone. It is the fate of the lost ones to be brought to the cleansing from any plain of reality. It is so and must remain a fact. So help the lost ones, so help us all. All is not without hope for as they are greatly burdened so are they blessed. Together they can control the bodies of their enemies. Side by side they can withstand may things. Some are born together in one womb paired from conception, these are the deeply bound Madgig' of legion and are known to live long lives with great inner piece and understanding, mastering the vastness between Iif one is femm' and one masc'ula imortality may be reached. But to be immortal is not a goal, it is a path that few choose. Those born alone however must be ready to bond before the rising of the Iyeree. They must seek the bonds gifts. If one cannot pair there will be a cleansing as it is written. Why do I fail to hear? Can I not listen? Where is my spirit?. If I reach out for her will she be there? My being is not within me as I have been so deceived. She lies just out of my sight and I can not hear her. I can not find her because I have built an impenetrable wall of entropy inside my shell. I had lots of help building my fortress. It took time to craft this shrine unto myself. This tomb that enfolds me in false comfort. Fire can not break in and ice cannot break out. It is a cold cell that is my coffin. The dirt of ages rains down on us in this darkness. What I have become close to, should not be. I should not be. I grow smaller and frail. I shrink and cower. I smell nothing 'or the sake of my mind. Such cold comfort become my eternities rest and my damnation. I am not' therefore' I die. With no light I do not see, with no sound I do not hear. And with no true hearts love I surly perish, Fire needs air and water needs earth. light needs darkness needs light... I must regain the cycles and rejoin the change or I have lost everything worth being for. If I could describe the biggest demon in my mind, it would be Satisfaction. It would describe comforts' traps and apathy's slow poison. With out pain there is no relief but the ache for change. OH! the emptiness that awaits. Can it be, more than this cruel joy. I wallow now,.. hands shaking from cold as sweat that has no purpose finds no reason. Reach in here and awaken that part of me that you hold . Surly it is out there in the light. Vagrant0 Posted November 17, 2007 Share Posted November 17, 2007 Interesting concept, but don't really see how you could make this work, depending on how strict you use the "together" rules. NPCs, even if one is following the other, would still have large gaps between them occuring any time they entered or left an interior. You might be able to combat this with good pagaging, but it'll still ocasionally happen. Additionally, if every NPC uses scripting which detects if their pair is alive, you'd have to make indivisual pair scripts for every NPC. Then depending on how much story stuff you want to do, you'll have additional complications there. As a player race (on new game create full actor copy, and have ability based scripting placed on that copy (and faction based dialogue), it might work a bit better, again, depending on how strict the rules are. It might even add a bit more complication to the game since you would always have someone following you around, but in that, it might be too much like other companion mods. If it was getting dangerous, this could be reinforced by adding a "run to the other" package to both of them if the timer got past maybe half. It would, admittedly, take a lot of packages/scripts, but I don't really see a problem aside from that. It would also make an interesting "companion" scenario for a Player race, but it would need to be clearly shown as such. It might be better if you select from a list of partners to appear beside you instead of a copy, though. I don't really see any problems with quests that would be hard to overcome. And as no-one really knows which quests are safe for companions and which aren't, the player could be killed suddenly and without warning, because his companion has got stuck somewhere and can't get out. Most companion mods combat this by having some spell which summons the companion to the player, but if that was available, then it would kind of defeat the point, no? It's hard to move a copy of the player with a remote script since you can't really record that ID anywhere outside the scripts that are on that entity, or within the scripts that make that entity. Or it could be done by moving the companion to the player if they're in wholly different worldspaces. (Not including Interiors/Tamriel.) And that could even be done with a copy. My system was on blue screen and would not boot into windows. I decided to clean out the case completely. Man there was some nasty dirt in it. Its running fine now so here I am. Thanks for your encouragements and suggestions. I'll reply to each in this post after I have some coffee and aspirin for breakfast. I've been totally focused on getting the system back up and running some diagnostics/BURN INs. But now My head hurts. So, I'll get back when I've had some thing to eat and such. OK now that I've gone for a walk and recreated my center I am able do deal. I will address the issues of game limitations with story line and lore adaptations to my characters When ever possible. I can use tried and true scripts from some of the better mods as I gain permissions and am able to adapt them to suet my needs. One issue I was not clear on is the nature of the Jinn and the relationship they have to the race Madgi. The Jinn are eternals for all intents and purposes. There relationship to the Nirn is as forces of nature. One Jinn encompass the nature of Red Mountain. She is very different from the mortals, they do to see her, they see only stone and fire and smoke. Human mortals can not even feel her emotions. At least the beast Know of her. Lets continue with this example. How is it that this Jinn is not paired and yet commands the madgus blood? It is because she is in four aspects. The Power that flows with the madgus blood is Quadral in its nature. A being must encompass four aspects in order to contain a Quadral aspect. Thus it is with the Madgi who are born each to a dual nature. As the blood matures and the time of the rising of Iyeree (taken from Tamils lore) as the Iyer Of Hinduism.) the Human child must find another half to form the bond and become Quadral. Only then can the for aspects of the madgus blood( The separate aspects can be called the four imadgus for purposes of clarification but it is not possible to have one without the other thee.) enhabit the pair and be at peace. Now let us look at what it means to have a nature with four aspects. You and I have two aspects built into our very being. we have as part of our fundamental structure a bi-lateral nature. We have two sides that are "mirroring" each other. In the case of the Jinn you have a being with Quadrilateral structure. 4ness is what they are all about; all that they are and precieve and do is founded on 4. In our world it is very rare to find minds capable of experiencing this concept. Only two cultures on Earth are known to have linguistic refferances to a Quadral concept. These are Sursurunga and Marschallish. It is hardly surprising then that Humans do not perceive the workings of the Jinn. We are as different to them as Amoeba are to us. Now, back to the Madgi. Once joined in the Bond the TWO are now ONE and are both bound by limits and gifted with Iyeree. The limits are like the bad news and the Iyeree are definitely the good news. Lets get the bad out of th way. As Quadral beings Madgi can not contain life as an individual. Once the bond is formed the Madgus is balanced. If either part of the One dies the Madgus will try to inhabit an inadequate bilateral mind; this is not possible without dire consequences. The Madgus nature can reside briefly as Bi as long as the vessel is still and balanced. As long as health and Mana are high and the individual is calm the Madgus will be contained. But, no one can be this balanced for ever and eventually the Madgus will be unleashed. It will seek the two seats need for balance in any life nearby. Unfortunately without the bonding period and at full strength not even another madgi can contain the Madgus of a "lost one". A cleansing must be performed by the counsel of the Madgig. These balanced souls are dedicated to the containment of the Iyeree and to the welfare of all Madgigie. Consolidate2Any edits or notes or links will be colored so to speak. The cleansing As Madgig the great ones when in counsel will know when the Iyeree is disturbed. All realms of Nirn are within them as the commune. It is only a matter of the calling for them to rescue a lost one. Apron rescue and before harm can be done, the counsel will seal the mind of the lost one. They will become host to the Madgus and retrieve the body of the unwhole one. Once the Madgus of the unfortunate is in balance and contained within the counsel it is a simple matter of the proper rituals that returns the Iyeree to the source. As for the unwhole one He or She is not in he vessil but resides in the Madgus. When the Madgus' Iyeree becomes one with the source, both parts of the One who where separated reunite and return to the source as well. But not all who are lost wish to be rescued. It is possible to hide the loss of Ones balance as long as the Madgus is satisfied and balanced. The cost of this path is the lives of the lost rouges victims. Every time a rouge is injured or loses to much Manna the Madgus will seek balance. In orde to remain free the rouge must be ready to take victims. The Rouge Many who are rouge become necromancers and or warlocks. As a necromancer a rouge Madgi can get much more from one victim and as a warlock bound to some demon or fey a rouge is bound to darkness and balanced without taking victims. Both paths have limitations and disadvantages. The warlock is of course a tool of darkness. He or She will be limited to the provenance of the One S/He has become. As a warlock the rouge will enjoy spell-like abilities either in-born or granted through the bond. These abilities are dependant on the fey or demon that is member to the bond. But unlike the spells cast by mortals the a warlock's invocations are lesser powers or abilities. Through service to the darkness warlocks can often acquire energy resistance, toughened skin, fast healing, and the ability to force magical items to do their bidding. But a warlock is not free. S/He must choose the dark path or risk breaking the bond. The Necromancer holds power over death and the undead. Soul Reaping, Curses, Death Magic, and Blood Magic—each of the dark arts requires occasional sacrifices of blood. The rouge who choses this path is bound by all the above to darkness. But S/he can choose to bend the darkness to suit. Choices are not limited to the dark path and great good can be done in spite of a need for carnage. Break time..... Time for a break: more to follow. The shape of the Quadral is not fixed. The Madgus is fluid and forgiving in the state of balance. The link is very resilient supple and possessed of dimensional properties that are common to all the plains of greater Nirn. The link is not limited by distance or time or dimension. Only death can sever the link. If a member of One is in need the other serves to the limit of life itself. what ever is required by one is need to both. But no member of the One can give up life through the link to save the other. The link will never take a life. Depending on the orientation or class of each member the One may be either complimentary or apposed. Both conditions are workable but must be accounted for. The complimentary pair work best together and do best in each others company. They are just what the other needs and probably don't realize it. On the other hand, the apposed Ones' members are best when they are not in each others way. Both are masters of the same class and nature. Together, in one place, they only collide. The work best as consultants to one another as each can do the same job, learn the same skills. They make a great tag team. ouch! stretchy time...
