candedspam
I would like to use a mod to make nights darker, such as Nevada Skies - Darker Nights, or others.. But the problem is AI can see you just as easy at night as they do in day.. If AI reacted to nighttime a bit more realistically, it would be possible to venture out at night without giving enemies an unrealistic advantage of them seeing you without you seeing them. If a mod that does this exists I would like to hear about it, but I can't find anything. Basically all this mod would have to do is lower the perception of AI from like 11pm to 5pm or something. I dunno about modding but this sounds like the simplest mod ever, and would get all the endorsements :

Basically all this mod would have to do is lower the perception of AI from like 11pm to 5pm or something. So I would go about this by changing the player's characteristics rather than trying to change the NPCs (ie much harder to detect the player at night). That way, simpler means like changing the players attributes (for example sneak skill) and changing game settings (for example fSneakBootWeightBase), temporarily, during those hours could be implemented. If it was done by changing NPCs detection formula or NPC stats it becomes much more messy, and the detection formula is complicated enough as is.
