Most likely, some of the old sound files are left behind in \Data\Sounds\... The vanilla sound files are stored in a .bsa archive that (unless you altered or removed, which is a bad idea) should be untouched. If the archive for Sounds of Cyrodill is explorable use it to compare to your \Data\ folder to the mod and find out if anything was left behind. Feel free to delete anything you find that matches files in that archive if you're using this method. If the archive was an OMOD, you can still try cut and paste on any sounds you think may be responsible. Just move them to a temporary location. That way you can safely test whether or not you needed to remove that sound. Edited by MShoap13

What form of Archive Invalidation are you using? You should be using BSA Redirection as it's by far the most reliable and simplest solution. And, in OBMM's menu, BSA Redirection greys out all of the options for file types etc. as they're unnecessary. However, I highly doubt your issue stems from this. If the game is playing a non-vanilla sound, you either have a plugin telling it to play that sound and the sound file should be stored somewhere in your \Data\ folder (most likely with the rest of that mods files) or you have a replacer sound (that doesn't require a plugin) and it's located at \Data\Sounds\...

I have been using BSA Invalidation

but if the game is telling the game to play a sound that isent there i should just hear nothing instead i hear a healing spell (well thats what it sounds to me)

also i have tryde deleting the folders: Date/Music Date/Sound

and then playing but i still here taht annoying issue i also tryde deleting my BSA's and use a backup of them (after i installed the game and patched it to latest version i made a backup of my BSA's)

so i really have no idea what my problem is

I did some digging and the particular file in question (regarding sound replacers) is at \Data\Sound\fx\wpn\. If you do not have those folders under your \Data\ directory then you can reasonably rule out sound replacers (not necessarily plugins).

This could very well be from your archaic form of Archive Invalidation. Redirection really is the only form anyone should use anymore as it's fool-proof, doesn't require a user generated .txt log, and never needs to be updated once you've set it up. I'm not really sure on the uninstallation procedure of the other Archive Invalidation options, but I know you do need to delete a .txt file that (I think) is located in the \Data\ folder. I want to say it's "ArchiveInvalidation.txt" or something similar. If you're unsure, just move it to a location outside of Oblivion.

Also, if you're using a Steam version of Oblivion you'll need to do one extra step to ensure BSA Redirection works properly. You need to get File Date Changer and rollback the "Last Modified" dates on all of the .bsa archives that come in a vanilla Oblivion install (plus the archives of any official DLC) to some time around 2005. This ensures that they will have an older date than any replacer files you may run which is how redirection works.
