No mods working - Help please!

To Sharlikran and all others having start up issues. If your using mods downloaded and installed through "Mods" option at main menu. Stop doing this.

What I found through about 20 hours of testing. This option changes your "plugins" file so that a continuous string of mods is listed, rather than an actual list.

Also it removes the game and DLC esm's from the list. You MUST have all game and DLC esm's listed here. Reason is simple. They are masters of the other mods.

Also, your "DLClist" file must have all DLC and any installed mods in it, without the * in front. I still keep the load order file, though, through testing, found it is not needed.

I was having the issues listed above. And found that fixing these files and not using Bethesda site for mods. Is what ended the issues. My "ini" files are set as:

Fallout4Custom.ini

sResourceDataDirsFinal=
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

Note: I do not make any changes to base game "ini" files. Put all "ini" changes in "Fallout4Custom.ini". That file overwrite all other game "ini" files. Also only make custom ini read only.

So any updates won't change it. Also makes it easier to troubleshoot ini errors.

Now all mods are working. Tested with and without "bethesda ingame mods". It only works when mods are in a list and ALL game esm's are listed. Game will work without the esm's, but mods don't.

Game is up to date according to steam. And have CK installed. If you want to use mods from Bethesda then make a copy of plugins before doing it. Then launch game. Download and install mods in game.

Quit game. Open the plugins file, not the one copied. Then open the copy. And copy\paste new mods in the order you want them to be. Then do same with DLClist file.

I do for people are modification to make 2 mods from different authors work together. Therefore not publicly available. Hope this info helps someone. Thanks for reading.
