Suppressor Noise Level, the Mod itself or the Projectile?

How about this....

You have a bolt pipe rifle with a .50 receiver mod that has an attribute of "overrides projectile" into a "Pipe50CalProjectile".

Then, you have a suppressor that has its "overrides projectile" into a separate "AssaulRifleSuppressor" projectile.

Out of the two, who wins the projectile battle?

ok, that one made my head hurt trying to track.

I'll stick with my "I shoot it, it dies" weapon. (can't remember what I set the sound level to. I know I quieted the combat rifle though. Ignored the ammo though. stuff dies fast enough)

Noisest thing: companions! the morons.. :P

Ha.

If you have two different weapon mods on the same gun that changed the projectile type, which one is the superior to the other?
