Stressed while playing TES. Ouch

The F.E.A.R. series has plenty of teeth clenching moments.

If you get the right mods for Oblivion, you can make it pretty creepy. I've been startled a good few times after having the various ambient aspects of the game modded, such as lighting, sound, spawn rates, textures, and new variants of old creatures (like zombies).

I'm man enough to admit that every once and a while, I wouldn't hear the music change when I was being attacked, and would end up squealing like a little girl when I got hit from out of the blue. Edited by Horgr

I typically like to keep game music turned down, so I never noticed the change. If presented, I usually keep voices turned up, ambient noises turned up, and game music turned down.

Heh... I've had a few of those moments in Morrowind...

I would be dungeon crawling, and I would suddenly hear the noise of someone breathing really heavily, and the next thing you know, a Bonewalker rounded the corner.

... Those things still give me the creeps.
