peteed1985
I downloaded and ran a thing called BOSS that from what I found out should tell me what order to load mods in but for some reason it isn't. Was hoping for help with what order to load these in please. I'm new to modding. Oblivion.esmUnofficial Oblivion Patch.espUOP Vampire Aging & Face Fix.espOblivion Citadel Door Fix.espDLCShiveringIsles.espUnofficial Shivering Isles Patch.espMOBS SI.espMOBS SI Optional Combat Settings.espDLCHorseArmor.espDLCHorseArmor - Unofficial Patch.espDLCOrrery.espDLCOrrery - Unofficial Patch.espDLCVileLair.espDLCVileLair - Unofficial Patch.espLair_mobs.espVileLair_MOBS.espDLCMehrunesRazor.espDLCMehrunesRazor - Unofficial Patch.espMehrunes_mobs.espDLCSpellTomes.espDLCSpellTomes - Unofficial Patch.espDLCThievesDen.espDLCThievesDen - Unofficial Patch.espDLCThievesDen - Unofficial Patch - SSSB.espThievesDen_MOBS.espDLCBattlehornCastle.espDLCBattlehornCastle - Unofficial Patch.espBattleHorn_MOBS.espDLCFrostcrag.espDLCFrostcrag - Unofficial Patch.espKnights.espKnights - Unofficial Patch.espKnights_MOBS.espDLC_MOBS.espMidasSpells.espVanilla_Race_Overhaul.espDesuChan's Kawa-Khajiits.esp Also am downloading qarls texture pack 3 and optimized qarls texture pack meshes atm to add in later. That order I posted is the order they are in right now. I also have darnifiedUI however for some reason its not listed in the load order despite being activated. Also in OBMM I ran a conflict detector tool thingo and 99% of em come up as red.
MShoap13
BOSS automatically sorts your load order, and from the looks of things, it already did. I don't believe Darn UI has a plugin, its just a replacer package. Though, I do see you're running the Vampire Face Fix for the UOP. If you have the UOP Supplementals installed you shouldn't be running the face fix, and if you don't have them installed you should get them. It's probably best to install the UOP Supplementals before QTP3 as it may replace some of the meshes.

MShoap13
Because you have mods that alter the same entries. When two mods alter the same entry, the last one loaded takes precedence. This could potentially break a mod. Issues regarding small mod conflicts are exactly why BOSS was created. It used to be that you'd have to manually tweak your load order until you figured it out. BOSS uses one, often-updated, masterlist to sort your mods for you. BOSS however, is not perfect as sometimes having one load order breaks one mod, and changing it breaks another. This is where utilities like Wrye Bash come in. It can be used to make two mods, that would normally conflict, work together without problems. An example of this would be using both a male and female body replacer. Without Wrye Bash and Bash Tags (BOSS suggests Bash Tags as well) this is not possible. Additionally, mods you manually merge, or a few lesser-known mods, may not be recognized by BOSS. Generally speaking, it's suggested to clean plugins as BOSS suggests and to use Bash Tags as BOSS suggests because it's masterlist is assuming that you will. Not doing so could result in broken mods. Pink Khajiit tails and invisible eyes are two common problems just to give you an idea. Before cleaning, merging, or altering any plugin in any way it's highly recommended to make a backup. Most of the time, keeping the archive of the mod around is the best solution to backing up your mods. Also, when installing mods you should take it slow and run BOSS, update your Bash Tags and rebuild your Bashed Patch, then test after each mod added. This way if an issue does come up (and it's bound to happen) you know where to begin troubleshooting.

I'd appreciate any suggestions for load order changes or mods to get rid of to avoid major issues. Edited October 22, 2011 by peteed1985
MShoap13
Nothing on there strikes me as definitely suspicious. Though, I'm relatively new to modding and there's really no way to know other than testing your mods and figuring out what works best for you. You'll probably find that without Bash Tags and Plugin Cleaning you can still get quite a bit of stuff to play nice.
peteed1985
So far the main issue i've having is that after putting these mobs on and editing some ini file stuff, patching the exe to allow game to use 4gb of ram and following an atomicmpc guide to make it look better and run faster i'm getting a bit of freezing every now and again mainly when running. Also the creatures are more powerful (when they attack right) but they are as stupid as hell and either run away or cast at the terrain or just stand there half the time.
