wackyiraqi77
On battery or AC? Could be a throttling issue. What BIOS revision? The latest is 213. 211 had a fan fix for the 5870.There is a vBIOS update for the G73, but I did not see it listed in the ASUS G73 Downloads. It is rather complicated. Latest bios revision, always on AC power, never on battery. I actually did flash that updated vBIOS, but that didn't help either. @Fonger, I did do that. I took the d3d9 out, played the game, put it back in, and framerate was still bad. I did this with every conceivable version of the d3d9 on the nexus, and none of them bumped it up. wackyiraqi77
Here's another interesting update. If I reload saves where the game was running smoothly, it will run smoothly again. But if I load saves where the game was horribly clunky, it will be horribly clunky. The level of graphics does not affect this at all. It runs just as smooth on ultra and runs just as bad with low settings. This leads me to believe that it isn't a GPU issue at all, like I originally thought it was. What could it be? wackyiraqi77
PROBLEM SOLVED! I am really kicking myself for ignoring basic troubleshooting procedure. It was a mod called Project Reality the whole time that was lagging my game. http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=42180 That is the culprit for all who are interested. Removed it from my mod list and now the game runs like a charm. EDIT: lol wrong link. Provided the correct one.
