Aemily
I know I'm just adding to the volume of topics like this, but none of the others provide me with any help. So, previously I had Fallout 4 installed on my SSD, with the 1.5 update installed, NMM up to date, and F4SE installed to. I had plenty of mods installed and the game ran completely fine other than some inter-mod weirdness which I could learn to live with. With the latest update, F4SE needed to be updated, so I decided that instead I'd completely reinstall Fallout 4 onto my HDD instead. I wiped all my mods, all my saves (because I have a terrible case of restartitis), and uninstalled Fallout 4 from my PC. It was effectively nuked away with no sign it was there aside from a path in NMM. I reinstalled FO4 on my HDD a few days later, ran it, went through the opening and so on. I make sure NMM is up to date, I alter my .ini files to enable mods, I get the latest version of F4SE. The game runs absolutely fine, with no issues or hiccoughs, both with and without F4SE. I run it in borderless window mode at 1920x1080, which is the resolution of my monitor. However, none of the mods I install will work. Mods that do not require scripts simply either flat out don't appear in the case of texture/model replacers, and mods that add items can't load models or textures, despite the items in question existing in the game, equipable, and even functional (even if anything other than bullets fail to load). Any mod that has any amount of scripting causes Fallout 4 to CTD on startup. Even with those mods uninstalled, the game still crashes until I verify the game cache and fix it, or completely redownload the game. While I can play the game without issue without mods, I don't want to miss out on the quality content the community can create, as well as just general QOL mods. It's infuriating that this won't work, and I cannot figure out why. Anyone have any ideas? I'm certain I've followed every step I needed to but I'm not ruling out that my certainty has caused me to forget one crucial step or something.
