Seviche
Boone and ED-E. That way I can roleplay a weak, low endurance, smooth-talker, and not die to everything that attacks me. Otherwise I just take ED-E and ignore the companions. I will, however, have to remember to fill him with beer. That's just a great idea, Handofbane. RedLucyFan
Yeah, there is something very compelling and almost innocent about Veronica. I've picked her up (at least for a time) in just about every game I've played. I would say though that with the better-looking Cass mod I like Cass a lot better than before. In her vanilla state she is too much of a plain Jane country girl. Either way though, I think Cass has the most interesting conversation of all the companions, and she rivals Boone in her ranged combat ability. In my current game I'm looking to pair up with Arcade for the first time, simply because in playing as an independent I could definitely use the Enclave on my side in the final battle. Speaking of Veronica, I highly recommend the cuter Veronica mod. It thins out her face a bit and gives her some nice hair you can see underneath her Scribe hood. I think Rex is by far the best of the dogs in the Fallout and Elder Scrolls worlds. He's a veritable War Dog, and holds his own against all but the toughest opponents. EDE gets the overall nod in my book though. His sensor perk is great, and when you upgrade his weapon it is some serious firepower. In fact I'll take the upgraded weapon over the upgraded armor every time. Far better to destroy the enemies before they get within melee range. Also, he's a better temporary storage bin than the regular companions. BTW, speaking of Cass, my most memorable FNV ending was when I had to sacrifice Cass to defeat Lanius. It was a bummer and definitely made for a rather poignant and bitter sweet victory. Edited January 27, 2012 by RedLucyFan
