Riluu
For some reason, everything I've scrapped with my Spring Cleaning mod has returned to my settlements, and is unscrappable and merged with what I've built. I have multiple settlements that are completely unplayable right now. I made sure the Spring Cleaning plugin was checked in NMM. I also read that it would fix it to move Spring Cleaning to load after the Far Harbor DLC in the load order, but that didn't fix it either. I can't find any other supposed fixes for this, and a good portion of my work on this save is ruined if I can't figure it out. The Spring Cleaning mod hasn't been updated in a long time, the mod maker is MIA, and the comments have no answers. Help, anyone?
Riluu
I also tried this suggestion in the bug notes: "Check your fallout4.ini (under the heading [general] ): change the following line in your bUseCombinedObjects=1 to bUseCombinedObjects=0If you do not have then line, add it." This caused severe graphic distortions, flickering buildings and NPCs, etc. So no go there.
Sharlikran
You can set bUseCombinedObjects to 0 but then the game won't use combined objects correctly. I don't have a good definition or explanation of what a combined object is. Not sure this answers your question but basically Bethesda has designed certain things to work a certain way for their reasons. Because of what they chose to do you simply can't scrap everything. Mods like Spring Cleaning and Scrap Everything will make recipes so that the game allows you to scrap something but the game itself won't allow it. That's why you have to change bUseCombinedObjects. Unfortunately in order to have a stable game you simply can't change bUseCombinedObjects and scrap everything and console commands will just make it worse. Riluu
Figured out a workaround- uninstalled Spring Cleaning entirely, then installed Scrap Everything. Turns out everything I scrapped with Spring Cleaning stays scrapped with the other mod installed. Crisis averted. :P Thanks for explaining, though. A lot of this just goes whoosh right over my head.
