cyvash
okay can anyone point me to a guide that tells how to create a advanced companion with voice acting, along with options that allows you to access the invetory, wait here, follow. right now im in the planning stages of it, i know what possible things ill be using to help, i think i still have to contact a couple mod makers because itll reley on a custom race mod ill either be using this one: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15898, or this one http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25524 simply because they are the only race mods i have found that are human enough and i already messd around enough with them in the prison level that they are suitable for my needs, thanks for the help directing me onto the right path
David Brasher
Adding voice acting is a big can of worms. Since Shivering Isles came out, the CS has been broken and almost no one has the skill and time to bypass the broken software and do the job. Are you sure you want to do that? Wait and follow are really simple and almost any modder can do them. Here is the tutorial: Simple Companion Tutorial Share is a tricky mess that many modders can't do. To see how it is done, examine mods that use it such as Ruined Tail's Tale, Enhanced Daedric Invasion, and CM Partners. (On second thought, don't look at CM Partners. It is a royal mess.) Perhaps the simplest place to find a script and instructions on how to hook it up would be in Mages Guild Quests which uses the Ruined Tales Tale system. There are comments in the script explaining what else it needs to have hooked to it and how the system must be put together. Building a companion mod, you will be in for all sorts of nightmares, such as the follower double face bug, companions breaking the law and getting prices on their head so that the guards are always attacking them, cowardly companions that run from mudcrabs, and murderous companions who try to kill you and won't accept your yield no matter what you do. Good Luck! (You're going to need it.) Edited October 28, 2011 by David Brasher
