Are the mods still coming?

I came back to modded Skyrim recently with better PC and some ideas on my own.
Question is, it's 2016, TES VI will probably be announced soon, so is the modding of Skyrim still a thing?

Just a general question before I start work on my mod :)

Yes. You can see the recent files for the last month and there are several big projects yet to be completed.

Lol ... Nope it's completely dead ... Just ignore the 1/2 dozen or so mods that get added every day, Just ignore the fact that someone like MxR is at over 200 episodes of Skyrim Mods Weekly, and he's STILL making them ( and he usually only showcases the top 3 or 4 mods from the Hot Files section only) Ignore the 10's of thousands of pages of mods stored here ...

I not sure if it's still a "thing" as you say. But, not only are they still creating mods the design and workmanship of the newer mods seem to be on a whole new level.

Of course they are, as long as one person remains who has both the skill and desire to crack open the CK, and use it to weave their vision of a perfect game.

There are a few large projects which have yet to be released. While the smaller mod releases may dwindle down a bit, until we see a new TES game, there will still be people willing to mod and play it :) likely also afterwords (I still play Morrowind and Oblivion from time to time, and there are still people modding them as well).

Yeah, you certainly can proceed with your ideas, but if I wee you I would do that regardless of whether or not other people re still making mods. I'm working on some very big projects (you can click on the links in my signature if you want to read about them) and I would make those even if there wasn't a single other person making mods because they are mods I want to use myself too, and I'll continue working on them even if/when TES 6 comes out.

Thanks for the encouragement! I might even resurrect one of my older projects. I abandoned it, because I feared people wouldn't like it. I guess I should at least try and do it for myself.

 

Your crime mod looks very interesting. Despite all the mods, there wasn't a good overhaul for cime so I hope you'll finish it.

And while I'm mainly Hunterborn user, I look forward for more variety in hunting mods.
