fatuxa
Hello everybody !!! I've been playing Oblivion for some time now but my progression is a bit slow cause my computer is a low end one and I don't have much time to play, either !!! But there's something I'd like to ask (though it may sound a bit silly !! ... Does the game ends after we finish the main quest, or can we go on exploring the world and playing all the other subquest that we haven't finished ? I'm asking this because what I like best in this type of games is all the exploring and the subquests involved and I'm afraid that after I finish the main quest I'll get the END GAME message before I can explore the world and finish all those subquest !!! Thanks a lot for any help with my question best regards for you all Fatuxa

BigT17
if you complete the main quest, the only thing that you can't do anymore is to go into oblivion gates and close them because they are all closed.

How exactly are you counting these? And there isn't too much exploring really since you have a map and landmarks for pretty much everything. There are no vague descriptions of locations, they give you a land mark and a compass pointer. Kinda ruins the fun in searching around for 50 minutes for a cave enterance. As for Oblivion gates, they close forever unless you use a mod that keeps them open, or a mod that just summons one. Mods are really the thing that adds longevity to this game. Malchik
There are about 180 real quests in the original game. The expansions add about 50 more. As for exploring, some dungeons are quite imaginative but many are too similar to give much enjoyment.
fatuxa
Hello everybody and a very particular THANK YOU to Malchik :) Vagrant0 :) BigT17 :) and Planty C :) for their replying to my question. IT DID HELP ME...I know there's a lot of quests and sub-quests and mods with lots of other adventures and places to visit. (though I agree with Malchik about some dungeons being too similar and may get a bit annoying) But I think its a great game all the same THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR OPINIONS AND ASSISTANCE  Warm regardsFatuxa
