I have tried every possible snap to grip reference including free movement and I just can't seem to get the Nellis hangar pieces to line up right... Anyone have any ideas why or what I can do to get them to snap correctly? Thank you!

I just tested it by building a hangar, and everything snapped just fine. I used a snap-to-grid number of 256. The snapping system works best when you use a base-2 scale for the number (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, etc). I haven't found a kit yet that doesn't follow that scale. Some are weird, and it's best to use a large number with bigger kits.

So long as you stick to a base-2 system, then even the smallest items should line up nearly perfect in your largest structures.

Thanks. I figured it out... It wasn't a problem with my reference scale. When I place my first object, i some how changed my reference scale and when I put in my second object they would snap until I moved the first piece and thus placing it on the same scale "plane" as the second one... wierd...

Ah, yeah, that's how it works. Dragging a new object doesn't always set it to the snap. I find it annoying, and in fact, I generally just duplicate items (Ctrl+D) and then change them to the part I need. Don't have to constantly move things around up and down, and makes lining stuff up a lot easier.
