Shinteke
Recently when I go to speak to any NPC in game, Oblivion crashes. I've tried disabling all of my mods, and I have the latest update, but nothing seems to work. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Balakirev
Not until you list your mods, in loading order. Also, you might want to explain what you changed in your lineup between the time everything worked well, and that "recently" point you describe, above. Shinteke
Update: I removed my mods and the game is still crashing.
Balakirev
Sounds, then, like the problem may have happened due to a certain configuration of mods, and has now corrupted the save game. What configuration it is we won't know until we know your mod loading order. One other possibility: are you using quicksave and/or autosave? Shinteke
It also occurs when starting a new game, and now it will also crash when I am too close to a NPC.
Maskar
So, anything speech related then. My guess would be either Oblivion being corrupted (needing reinstalling) or a windows issue, like a driver or a program ''fixing'' sound somehow (like Alchemy.exe to make EAX working on Windows 7).
