FO3 weapon port error in GECK

Wait, are you trying to activate the FWE plugin to work with new vegas? That's not going to work. You need to make your own plugin with the geck. Edited by Werne

I don't know why is this problem happening to you, FO3 uses same nif files as NV, so models used in FO3 should work in NV as well. Check the weapon in geck, maybe you forgot to add the mesh. Red diamonds indicate there is a missing mesh. Edited by Werne

Easy, go to the weapon in geck and double click it. Now click the "art and sound" tab, look for model (it's right under the inventory image, atleast in FO3 geck) and click edit. Now navigate to the weapon (original FWE path is meshes/weapons/2handrifle/sten.nif) and double click it. If there is something set in the First Person Model Object (it probably is if you just opened another weapon and replaced the model) set it to NONE. And don't add anything in the World Model, just leave it alone.

 

And just out of curiosity, what were you doing in tessnip?

when i look at it in model data it has the same red box

 

FOR TESSNIP: i made a blank plugin in the geck then copyied the stuff from FWE i wanted to it in tessnip in FOMM

ok i got it but should the gun be the same color as the ground when i veiw it in model info on the geck?
