celebronyo
So, every time I start trying to mess with a face on the Construction Set, which I have things loaded into FaceGen and nice data and all... The dang thing either won't load up the preview at all, won't accept number changes AT ALL, or it just outright crashes instantly. Pain in the arse, I know. I can deal with the rest of the work and adjustments to make, but considering half the point of trying is making them look like characters from the Sanctuary tv show... I'm reaching a point of frustration. I am doing this based from CM, and while I've been trying to set this off some of the default races I have a number of racial mods including Rens (via Cobl), Abriael, Corean, Luchiare's Dryads, Cute Elves, Chocolate Elves... I may have a racial mod addiction. Anyway, if someone'd be able to set up the faces for me, I've got FaceGen data for the three I'd like to make, I can mess with the hair issue myself... probably. But the faces are making me want to shove my fist through my monitor. Since I can't upload fg files just PM me another way to get it to you if you're interested. Or I can copy the numbers for each face into text and just message it back to you. I don't want to bog down anyone's time, so if you have other projects don't feel like you have to help me, it's just something I'd like to have, but with three weeks to Skyrim, not super important. Maybe the Skyrim CS won't flip out on me so much. Thanks to anyone that's willing to take the time.
David Brasher
I guess you know about the bug that most machines have where you have to load the full body view before loading the face view or you will crash the game? If you have this bug, then you just load the full body view of an NPC before loading the face and editing it and saving it. If you have the bug where you can't edit actor stats, you can often get past it by using a freshly loaded version of the CS. To do this, either crash or close the CS. Load it up again. Do the crash-prone edits before you touch anything else. Save after each edit. If the CS crashes, load it up again and do more risky edits before touching anything else. celebronyo
... No actually, I didn't know about that. I will go give it a whirl, thank you. If I'm still having trouble I'll come back t' ask again, but hopefully this fixes it so I can work on it. (At this point I'm considering it practice for Skyrim, my husband and I had a story idea we never really got out of the notebook between my having to learn 3D modeling, and still having trouble with the CS)
