jedimembrain
WTF ugg Japanese stuff is too crazy for me. That's not a racist comment at all, I work with Japanese people in a shipping company, they're great...but sweet Moses their media they release is so effing weird sometimes. Tentacle rape...doesn't get more WTF than that. Edit: Interesting tangent we've gotten onto  Thank god todd howard agrees .. When talking about the stories and environment he pretty much said he didn't like anime stories cause the worlds are so disconnected from reality and he wanted a more tolkien style fantasy world. Seems like everyone these days likes the japanese way over the top stuff and I can't stand it .. its not racist .. its cultural preference and there is nothing wrong with that :P

I'm glad TES reminds me of LOTR
AltreU
Fullmetal is kind of classic anime these days, they used to air it on the used-to-be-fairly-popular Adult Swim block on Cartoon Network (a channel I grew up with). I can't stand all those random ass shows from Japan and can't stand being around the people that do, though (at least outside of the web...).Berserk is far more realistic up to a certain point (being based in its own medieval world), then they drop the ball and s*** gets weird, but still awesome weird. I actually found out about it first from a few mods on the Nexus, then recognized the content on the cover of the series and started reading it.The first mod-DragonslayerThe second mod-Berserk quest

That used to be anime night for AS.
AltreU
I understand where you're coming from, lol. If you can stand American comics at least, then you can read the series like I did. If you were curious at all, it's about war and mercenaries. Like, medieval war, mercenaries, and kings with fiefdoms and moats.Rather than derailing the thread into Berserk, I'd like to ask stuff about you working at GS. Specifically about midnight releases, is it just your manager that lets you know when ya'll are doing those? If the number is decent then there is a midnight release. It also has to do with managers choice in games lol
AltreU
That would explain why my local store kept telling me Dark Souls wasn't getting a midnight release until I asked again the day before the game came out. We coincidentally didn't have anything else to do but play Minecraft and since my friend had another day off of work, we just hung at his place until an hour before midnight. Midnight releases aren't all that exciting. Basically just a way to get your game 10 hours early. Plus a marketing technique.
AltreU
It's a whole lot more convenient to go to, though, when there's little traffic and you don't have to drive your gas guzzling truck there because you're already out with company. http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/yes.gifBoy oh boy does my truck like to guzzle gas. Tilarium
Doesn't matter if he can get a copy home early. It's a steam game, which means you can't play it until it's unlocked. One of the few things I hate about steam! Screws with midnight releases and all that jazz too.
