Help request with custom "fresh" planters for settlements

Hello. I am using mod Homemaker (or something like that) which adds tons of new objects for settlements in the game.

One such objects are food planters, which i find better than regular plants. Mod also adds planters with healthier looking plants, much nicer, that also give off healthier produce which all have "fresh" in front of it, for instance "fresh carrot" or "fresh melon" and such. I think those "fresh" planters come from vault 81 originally, but the mod allows player to use them in their settlement.

What my problem is, is that only some plants have their corresponding "fresh" version, such as carrots, melons and corn, but others dont, like mutfruit, gourd and tato.

I have created (well, photoshoped) myself new textures for tato and gourd so far to make them look healthier and more similar to the "fresh" type of plantables, basically i removed any growths from fruits, made leafs green and such.

What i tried to do was to create new planters, change their properties so they would be more similar tot he "fresh" planters, and apply textures to them, unfortunately i dont know how to apply textures to given mesh.

For instance, this would add "fresh tato planter" for player to use, but i want this planter to use my custom texture, and ONLY that planter to use it, for now all tato plants use it since that was the only thing i could put in game.

Would anyone want to help me with this? i think it might be nice addition to the game.

here are screenshots to show how te textures look in game so far:

I'm searching for a mod like this also. Nice knowing I'm not the only one. I can't wait to have more immersive farming, more recipes to craft more involvement in my settlements in general. Can't wait to test this. :D

Should the fresh tato be renamed to "Tomato"? Tato has always reminded me of potato ingame. XD By the way can't wait to have fresh potato plants too. ;P

Well if i will manage to achieve what i want i wont change tato's name, i dont like it either, it also reminds me of potatoes, and other stuff, but thats what it is and i prefer to make it fit with formula in game, aka, for melon planter there is fresh melon planter, for carrot planter there is fresh carrot planter and for corn planter there is fresh corn planter.

What i want to make is the same for other crops so i want to make fresh tato planter, fresh gourd planter and fresh mutfruit planter, as you see i already made textures for fresh tato and fresh gourd to make them more similar to other fresh crops, but the texture is only applied to the regular plants for now, as i dont know how to create new version.

I though it would be easier since i did similar things in both skyrim and morrowind, but maybe i lost touch. I think Fallout 4 changed way it handles textures as opposed to previous bethesda games and i am not sure how to work with it.

in previous games, like in morrowind for instance, each mesh file had texture info attached, basically it had a line that directed it to what texture it should use. You could edit mesh file in special program, niftools if im not mistaken, and you could change directory to the texture, so you could for instance create copy of the mesh you want to use, edit it with this, tell it to use that other texture, and then in GECK create copy of the object used in game, and change it's mesh to the one you changed, and it would use the new texture, while the old object would use the old mesh with old texture.
